  1. I'm back from vacation and I can take back the command of the battle. It is not interesting for someone to jump in it since there is not much going on at this point.
  2. Hello guys, I'm leaving on vacation for a week, starting next tuesday. I will be back on august 18th. Can someone take control of my battle? There is not much going on right now. Thanks, Serk
  3. So far I've seen only 3 infantry units, including one that got wiped out. There is not much movement right now. In any case, his infantry is out of tank support.
  4. Another T-34 down. That makes it 6 ko'ed. Russian attack is stalled right now. I'm only receiving some indirect fire, prolly mortars. I believe this will last until the end of battle. Hauptmann Serk.
  5. No new update. Still waiting for my oppo. Maybe losing 5 t-34 in less than 8 minute stopped him cold
  6. Forest battle, turn 4. Panicked T-34 ko'ed. 5 t-34's down in total. Two more spotted far behind. Stug is moving back to our main line of defense to avoid suspected russian infantry assault on his position. Hauptmann Serk Note: For some reason. I can't post a screenshot here.   7. Forest battle, turn 3, Two more T-34 ko'ed (4 in total)! Last remaining spotted tank is reversing in panic after taking some machine gun fire. One stug down but 3 crewmembers out of 4 made it back to our lines. Soviet infantry is rushing the tree line to harass the forward stug currently engaging the T-34's. I will order it to fall back once the panicking tank is dealt with. Hauptmann Serk. Note: No screenshots yet as I'm playing the turns too quickly and I always forget to take any. I'll do my best to present one of the front line in my next report.

  10. I had a look at the map. Flat terrain covered with woods and crossed by a river. There is also a railroad and a road. Not many distinguishing terrain feature IMO, but russian armor should have trouble moving foward. What are your orders commander? defend the line to prevent encirclement of the town? Kohlenklau, I'm not that good at spotting area where you can cross a river. Can you tell me how many there are and where? Thanks Serk

  12. I can take that 2nd battle: I havn't set up a battle in a while. Can my Oppo set it up? Do we have any info on the attacking force? I expect 1x armored unit with 0 to 99 T-34-76, 1x RIfle unit with 100-999 men and another infantry unit with less than 10 men? Serk
  13. Great work commander! it is always good to know our CO knows what he is doing Just a minor correction: 1/AR 128 looks like a Wespe (selfpropelled 105mm guns) unit to me, for indirect fire missions. Marder were selfpropelled 75mm ATG platform used in panzerjager units.

  15. Just a question here: Do we take command of a specific unit and follow it for all the campaign, or do we alternate the battles between all of us, no matter the units involved?
  16. Do we have any idea bout the terrain? Green hexes are forested area or steppe? I assume the green-blue hexes are marshes?

I've just submit to join the dicussion for the projet you've linked to see how it is progressing.
  19. This. With all the efforts put by the community to get some kinds of operational campaign going, I'd really wish for BFC to add something in this regard. It could be a simple automatic converter between CM and some other games such as John Tiller's campaign that could even remove the need for an umpire, or a whole new operational system in CM by itself. It is probably to late for the Bulge game and I think BFC is not interested anyway, which is sad.

  21. I could'nt agree more. Based on how hard people at the Few Good Men forums are trying to get something close to an historical campaing going and give some meaning to random QB's with a strategic or operational map, there certainly is an interest in this concept. IMO, the Battle of the Bulge would be a perfect operation for a start.

  23. Hello Juju, I've noticed on your preview that german major and lt-colonel ranks have pink (orange?) and green border and another one with yellow. Those color border were use to identify what weapon branch the officer was serving with. For exemple, your major with pink border means it was in an armored formation and light green for panzergrenadier. Unless the game could swap them automatically to fit with what branch the officer was serving, I suggest that you simply remove it and keep a generic rank just like you did for captain and leutnant. Otherwise we could end up with and infantry batt. commander by a major from an armored unit Cheers, Serk
