  1. Found the saved files!!! They were right under my nose. Additionally, my computer knowledge has expanded as well. Thanks very much for the help!
  2. Thanks for the quick response Mr. Cater. I'm glad to know that I won't lose saved games by unlicensing. My only remaining problem is being unable to find the saved turn files for flash drive/email transfer. The save folder is empty when I open it but I have at least half a dozen saved turns available within the game itself. Am I looking in the wrong file? Great game, by the way.
  3. The computer with my first license died and I can't unlicense from it. Now I have a working computer with a game installed but I would like to install on a recently purchased computer as well. I have a few questions: 1.) If I unlicense from the current cpu will my saved games be available for play if I relicense later on the same cpu(if that is even possible)? 2.) Would I be better served contacting the help desk? I recall reading that my license can be reset but that there are only a certain amount of times this can occur, or some such??? I don't plan on making this a habit but I would like to have the game on both computers. 3.) Is it possible to copy a saved game turn to a flash drive and/or email it to another cpu and continue to play that turn on a cpu with a newly installed SCGC? When I open the save folder in SCGC there is nothing in it. Am I looking in the wrong place?
  4. Mr. Cater, Thank you very much for the info and the quick response. I will try your advice as soon as I get home. I wanted to get the game for many months and finally bought it near the end of December. It's all that I hoped for in a WWII game and more. Now it's almost my birthday and there's the new WWI game....what to do?...what to do? By the way, one of the reasons I was excited about getting SCGC was the customer service. It says much when the game designer himself is available and willing to answer questions. Keep up the excellent work and thanks again!
  5. I've tried a number of things to make the scripts available in the campaign I edited but they still fail to appear when I try to play the mod. I'm not computer savvy so the chance that I caused this is highly likely. The scripts do appear to be in the campaign folder, both AI and Events. They are also in the templates. When I've tried to edit AI or Event scripts under the campaign tab in the editor the program stops responding. For example: I clicked the edit AI scripts tab and my mouse arrow changed to an hourglass. In the bottom left corner of the screen the words, "Garrison (Verify)" appear with numbers counting up. Eventually the numbers reset at 0 but "Garrison (Verify)" remains and I must Ctrl-Alt-Delete. I've noticed that this happens even when I try to edit AI/Events of the default campaigns in the editor. If anyone here has advice I sure could use it! The one positive from the experience is that I am slowly learning how to navigate through the programs on my computer
  6. I tried the editor for the first time and saved a campaign that I modified. When I load the campaign to play the game there are no scripts. When I attempt to access AI/Events in the editor none appear and sometimes the program stops responding when I click the Edit AI/Events links. Any advice?
  7. I asked a similar question and the advice I got worked nicely. Here it is: After you download the mod you get both a folder and a document. Both have to be placed inside the Campaign folder. Usually this is saved in Progam Files. (Computer > C: Drive > Progam Files > Battlefront > Strategic Command > Campaigns) Note that with the newest version of windows Program files will be called Progam Filesx86 Manually drag or copy and paste the downloaded folder and place them inside the campaign folder. When you launch Strategic Command select newgame and the mod campaign should be there. I hope this helps
  8. I recently purchased SCGC and downloaded the latest version (v 1.04) but I'm not sure if I did it correctly. Also, I downloaded two mod campaigns (Nupremal and Calm Before the Storm). The basic game plays fine but I do not know how to make the mods available to play. I'm not computer savvy and realize this is probably a simple fix and therefore I have three questions: 1.) What is the correct procedure to update the game? 2.) How will I know I've updated correctly? 3.) How do I make downloaded campaigns available to play in the game? Any advice provided would be extremely helpful in welcoming me into the 21st century and most appreciated. Thank you, A.F.
