Not following the problem. The chicken wire is supposed to be like that, just down to where the helmet flares. At least that’s what I assumed with that mod.
-
I always wondered that, too. Thanks Ben for that morsel.

Thanks Roter. I have a 34" screen already, and it's only a year old, but my computer-illiterate* wife's computer could use a new monitor <cough cough>. So I was thinking of getting a larger, curved screen. *My wife is infinitely smarter than me in all things except, thankfully, computers. First time we played chess she checkmated me in five moves. It went downhill from there, so much so that we no longer play...I tired of losing, she tired of playing against a loser, lol. But I am the go-to guy when it comes to buying computers and other electronics, heh, heh.

Yeah, if it was made before engine 4, that makes sense.
-
Roter Stern, what monitor do you have? I’m going to need a new one soon, but don’t want a monstrosity.

Are they supposed to be basically sitting there defending in place, but they run away toward enemy (the player)? If so, and as mentioned in another thread, giving them no orders should keep them in place until casualties mount and morale fails. Or am I not understanding the situation?
-
That’s a nice write-up, domfluff. Will you be sharing the final version? Canuck21, in the situation you’re looking at, I don’t do anything but set the squads up in their houses with no set zone and no orders, like domfluff said. They’ll stay until shot up enough to displace away to presumably safer environs.

Do 'ditchlock' trenches provide more/better cover?

That's how I always make mine. Your no sandbag mod really does make it all look better, though! -

I’ve got the Xbox gamebar, but figured it was only good for someone with an Xbox! I’ll have to give it a spin. -
How to record video in game

If you have Windows 10, you are out of luck with FRAPS because it no longer works with 10. You could try Windows Movie Maker or whatever it’s called or if you have Nvidia try their GeForce game overlay. -
Kraft, put a brz in the RezExplode “Input” folder and click “Execute”. RezExplode is in the Mod Tools folder in your game’s main directory. Also more information in the manual. Cheers!

Not sure if this has been noted somewhere. There are no HMG42 Fallschirmjager Specialist Teams available in the Editor FJ units. The FJ battalion weapons company has them, but you only have HMG 34's in the FJ Specialist Teams. Relatedly, A Night at the Opera's 5th FJ Company's two HMG42 Teams on the north side of the Spree are obviously Heer or LW teams. The weapons company and another company of the battalion were deleted, and two Heer/LW hmg42 teams were added to the 5th's 3rd platoon, so I imagine someone at BFC already knows about this.

No, the Tac AI handles that. If you target enemy within one or two action squares, your troops will throw them, generally.

Lol, nice keyhole!

Pre-orders for Combat Mission Cold War are now open.
mjkerner replied to BFCElvis's topic in Combat Mission Cold War
Worst. Day. Ever. for you to miss checking in! A one day only, one-in-a-million release; Sept. 1939 through August 1945. ALL theaters, including PTO, CBI and Finland! BFC figured they made enough yesterday that they decided to retire knowing we'd have enough CM goodies to last the rest of our lives. All of us here bought it, of course, but we were all commenting like "Where's Probus? Man is he gonna be pissed!" Sorry bro. -

Yes, SF2 shanty town, here we come! They look great, LLF. Probably not possible to use a flavor object like old tires or something to cover the chimneys? -
The Official Map Conversion Thread

Might have but I wasn’t really following the thread. Besides, sometimes that just ends up pissing the person off more, lol! I will next time, though!
