  1. Sun's breaking through from the left.
  2. And more and more modding coming for CMSF2, including the huge amount of stuff 37mm has packed into the Heaven and Earth mega-mod.
  3. Wow, this is good stuff, Julian. Thanks!
  4. If Market Garden had worked, though, Monty would have been regarded as brilliant. As it was, it was a close run thing. Consider the unfortunate coincidence of the 9th and 10th SS refitting in the area, or if the 1st Airborne had conducted a coup de main directly on the bridge with an LZ on the south side on the first lift. What amazes me about MG, and in fact the entire war, was how quickly the Allies were able to mount operations? Planning and logistics masters, AFAIC...all without computers, mind you.
  5. I *think* that’s what’s happening. I have never tested it, but over the years it seems that nervous/cautious P-truppen don’t like to fire much, and especially beyond 100-150 yds.
  6. Glad to be of help, Aragorn. Let me know if it works. They basically are all the same, but skin tones and hair colors are different. The .bmp’s are mostly the same, mostly. (Says Newt. ) FB and FI/GL/R2V have various troops in toques which are different, as are the Indian troops and probably others—I don’t recall atm.
  7. Aragorn, I think Aris or someone did some for the Germans (which it sounds like you already have), but I don't think there are any for the British. However, since I know you've done some renaming before, you can just rez-explode the CW version 110 brz of CMBN, then find the British "skins" (faces) in the "soldiers" folder, and then copy the weathered German faces, and start renaming them with the British name for faces: uk-soldier-skin 1, uk-soldier-2, etc. The default British faces are numbered 1 through 8, and of course you can number them higher to your hearts content. (If you rename less than 8, say 1- 6, then the default faces 7 and 8 will still be in the mix.) I hope I explained this clear enough. Feel free to PM me if not.
  8. I wouldn’t dismiss the Kung Flu out of hand. Something does seem a bit different about this one, but fingers crossed.
  9. This^^. In desperation, I've run regular infantry (with just generic grenades, no specific A/T assets) right at a tank, into it's AS, and it works more times than not. I mainly do it when playing Finns vs Russkies. Fun to watch, too---lots of grenades flying, pixeltruppen going down, confusion, etc.
  10. Yes, playing both the British and US versions for the last several weeks, off and on. It's Operation Linnet II which was one of the cancelled ones prior to Market Garden. They are challenging in that you have to secure the huge LZ and take bridges. I'm enjoying them. Ninja'd by the Sarge. Those are the ones I'm playing.
  11. Bootie put it up at CMMODS IV. Thanks Bootie! https://www.thefewgoodmen.com/cm-mod-warehouse/combat-mission-shock-force-2/cmsf2-infantry/cmsf2-british-woodland-dpm-camo/
  12. I don’t care about any of that game stuff...I want to know the story behind your moniker, Falcon!
  13. Thanks 37, but I need to get “author” status to upload anything. I’m waiting for Bootie to get back to me. I know he’s been busy, so it’s just a waiting game. I just wanted to make sure he didn’t upload it himself and forgot to make me an author, or something like that.
  14. Has anyone seen my mod on the Mod Warehouse? I don’t see it there, and Bootie hasn’t gotten back to me in several weeks a outing posting it, but I thought maybe he did anyway and I just can’t find it for some reason.
  15. Weird, this thread just popped up for the first just now for me, too. And Ironcat, I know of what you speak!
  16. Try putting ditch lock on the line of squares...your trench line...and not on the surrounding squares. IIRC, it works even better. Also, put a footpath on the trench line. Again, can't quite remember, but I think it helps as well. Maybe not. Can't test it myself, atm.
  17. Yeah, I always try to get the enemy in a crossfire whenever possible. They *seem* to bug out/displace more easily that way. Flanking fire, and all that.
  18. They actually tried to implement it for v.4 (I think) and it didn’t work. There’s a thread here somewhere with a message from BFC Steve about it.
