  1. Are there any prerequisites for the AAR? e.g. will we expect single turn action reports from each individual or something more like a strategic overview report? (my vote would be like: style is free; however happy to follow the guidlines)
  2. Concerning the post which almost killed our tourney: for me it feld more like an accident of not really thinking enough ahead (ok, happens to me in-game often) than a well aimed spoiler for the match. From my point of view we should be happy with the outcome (=not dumping the tournament) and go back to pick on our individual opponents in private messages.
  3. Stopping the tourney sounds a bit extreme to me. I'm an allied player as well. I anyway postulate that troop strenght will be comparable between me an my opponent, so not to much secrets have been revealed. Dumbing the tournement would be a real downer. Please reconsider.
  4. Happy to play the tourney: anton_meiseATyahoo.de Cheers, Anton
  5. Interesting, what would be the oncome if the tanks move with normal/slow speed?
  6. musste lesen hätte noch platz für 1-2 matches. einfach anton_meiseATyahoo.de oder per PM.

  9. I experience the same errors basically since I started playing EoS. If it wasn't that good, I would already been moving to other games. Since I don't care playing the AI, being able to connect to human opponents is very important. I believe Brit is working on getting the multiplayer stable, though.
  10. My eLicense was reset from somebody, though. Thank you anyway.
  11. What a confusion. What has happened is the following: One computer which as an EoS eLicense activated is broken, so the eLicense is lost since it can't be deactivated no more. Since I've been using two computers I have to deactivated the eLicense every time after playing since I never know which computer I will be using next. That is why Battlefront might have seen a open eLicense. However: I have activated the second eLicense, so now no eLicense should be open. to Martin: Are you saying that if my next computer breaks with a active eLicense THAN a reset will be possible? OK, that
  12. to Brit: thanks for offering the help. Yes, right, the Notebook license was active as the machine broke. to Moon: from you reply it is a bit tricky to follow which person you are addressing concerning your comments. I will only answer to the first and fourth quote since these are directed to me as I understand it. (1) My license situation: As you have problems to understand my problem in first place, I wonder were the point of not understanding is: I was used to use my software on two different computers. This was great, since one computer is tiny but transportable and one is bigger but
  13. As far as I understand it EoS is only playable if you eLicense it on the computer. However this is only possible on two computer at one time. If I'd like to you use my version of EoS somewhere else I will first have to deactivated one of the license on one computer and activate it again on the computer I'd like you use somewhere else. In my case a computer broke beyond repair, so no chance to deactivated the license here. Now I just have one left and have to deactivated it if I choose to use my notebook. I don't have no general issues with eLicenses 'cause they might be a good tool against
  14. So far I've been playing my version of EoS on two computer (a transportable and a non-transportable). The notebook broke without me having a chance to delinsence my EoS. So no EoS elsewhere than home for me. I asked around what to do and people told me I can reset my liscene at Battlefront - which sounds like a normal thing to do for me, now look what they've answered: ______answer from Battlefron Helpdesk:__________ Resetting a license from our end is something that we do in emergencies only, because there is a limit as to how often we can do it. Therefore, we usually only do it when
  15. All Files work fine now. Thanks Brit!
  16. Hi Guys, from my site the only game file I can download is the first one. 2nd and 3rd link is giving me errors. I don't believe it is due to heavy traffic since I tried quite often the last days and it always these 2 which will not work while the other one does. Anybody having the same experience? anton (tntom)
  17. Playing with known maps makes EoS much more stable during internet gaming.
  18. Brit, the new patch definitely changed the stability a bit. However, it is still impossible to complete the first 100 turns of a multiplayer internet match. Two sets of gamefiles were send to you last night. One game used random #s of AIs, the other one was played without AI. Both matches crashed due to an error in which the connection between client and server player was lost, got reestablished leaving the client player a turn behind. Typically the client players EoS will tell him that the program is ‘processing’ or ‘pending’, both forever. Reopening the game does not help synchronizing the p
  19. Hi Brit, good idea. I wonder if anybody else experience the multiplayer problems. Tried out the the newest patch yesterday. Settings: Random were possible. 2 internet players. 2-6 elite AIs. Game crashed at turn 55. Restarting the game eingine will give a "EoS Exe does not work" window. The game files will be sent to you. Cheers, Anton
  20. I am into stragtegy games and not too interested in fast 3d action titles. EoS is the best game I came across for quite a while. And for me the graphics have a brilliant style. Regards to that! There is great potential in the game. For me the ai is not of special importance, since I'd rather play with real opponents (and have so far never seen a above average ai in the strategy titles I experienced anyway). The ai is good for me to get to know the game and for this EoS is way smart enough. Great news for me, that PBEM is implemented, since bigger maps will hardly be ever played live.
  21. Hi Scott, I did register without notice from EoS-team so far as well. I've been playing a bit via internet against a pal in the last weeks. Unfortunately from approx. 10 matches started none could be played far enough to give a decision concerning the winner. All machtes crashed between turn 3 to 70. Since the EoS Team is really working hard and publishing bug fixes frequently I hope the stability issue is fixed and the solution robust, prior to tournament kick off. However, looking forward to challenge human opponents in this great game. Anton
