I never really played modern either until this turned into a real war even though I own them all.
CMRT was my goto as it has so many possibilities and i cannot wait until CMBN with the new expansion/pack gets published.
It would just be nice to allow more variability in quick battles like they used to have in CMBB. Variable ammo loads, variable troop levels per squad, allow for % of tanks, troops, arty, and set morale and experience levels all within the quick battle screens. 

If you swim alone with a shark nearby it could be dangerous. If you're in the water among another one hundred people, the odds are 1%.

That addresses that point.  
Am rather partial to the Stuart for a lite tank.  Not expected to fight heavier tanks.   Fast and lots of MG power. 
(However, would be interesting if there are statistics as to which tanks suffered the lowest RL casualties.)

True or not that's a pretty narrow view to take on the series' prospects. The audience for wargaming isn't huge here by any means, and probably pars rather well customers in Europe of which i'm sure UK customers are a relevant slice. In any case, I as an American have no inclination to weigh the games for purchase based on the presence of US forces in it. I doubt i'm really alone on that.

Personally I think the module shouldn't also be named after those red bastards, but should honor the last stand of the Wehrmacht.

It's the Holiday for giving thanks Thursday in the U.S. and while I'm grateful Battlefront does what it does, I wanted to give a special call out of thanks to an underappreciated by most group, the playtesters. Many of them put in countless hours of work for no payment, so thanks guys  (any gals?), my hat's off to you. We wouldn't be where we are without you.

German attrocities are well known and well documented. This is about truth and balance. The rapes went on in Germany, in cities like Stuttgart. Not mentioned in the article.
And I do like the fact that they are included in the module. That's not my point.

It's a dirty and ungrateful job, but someone has to provide links like that. Raping a woman is in my eyes the most vile and cowardly act a man can commit. It makes you no longer a soldier, but a thug and a criminal. Good to hear that you have the objectivity to appreciate the information.
I have the same attitude toward dutch war crimes in the Netherlands Indies after ww2. I hate to read it, but it happened. And again often provoked or at least facilitated by the chaos, hate and misery that war brings.

But the articles i've referred to contain the truth about what happened in Italy and German cities like Stuttgart. Don't need Grabert Verlag for that. There are enough sources that confirm these crimes. If mentioning that makes me a nazi apologist, than i kindly ask to be banned from this site. Waste of time and energy. There are many topics that go off in weird directions, but only certain ones that upset certain people seem to get criticised.  Some people get irritated. Obviously it's a question of who decides what is interesting.  Reminds me of the happy old days of the Soviet Union.  Good times.

From what I have heard from car owners, they began doing that 20-30 years ago. And every computer I've ever owned has come with a proviso that it must be serviced by an authorized service representative or the warrantee is voided.

Insurance has been that way for 20-30 years now too.  Not Hospital specific per say but managed care limited you to a set list of doctors - which is the same thing.
As for cars, I remember when changing a headlight involved unscrewing the old one and putting a new one in.  Now it requires special tools and usually taking apart half of the bumper.

Every year manufacturers are adding more model specific tools to automobile components not to mention locking down the software needed to what was once thought of as routine diagnostics. It's progress I guess...
