  1. Combined Arms would still be selected by the individual player, the same as Mixed. However, the player would be restricted to a percentage of purchase points under each category, infantry, armour, artillery, etc, which would ensure more balanced games instead of players piling on one particular group. I don't think it makes it any easier than Mixed, just more balanced and interesting to play. Take care, JB
  2. Yup, the combined arms selection should be in the game. If players want to play unrestricted, i.e. mixed, then they can still do so. JB
  3. Hello group, In CMBO et al they had combined arms, which allocated a maximum amount of purchase points to each section, i.e. infantry, armour, artillery, etc. this created more balanced and interesting games. Currently a player could select two tiger tanks and the rest in artillery and blow their opponent off of the map!! With respect, would BFC please include combined arms in their next patch. Thank you, JB
  4. Hi, how do I make the camera actually view straight down though? Is view camera level six in the controls someplace? Second question: Is there a "Combined Arms" function the same way there was in CMBO? Currently, I only six mixed, which could create horribly lopsided purchase choices. Thank you, JB
  5. Hello, is there a way to view the map straight-down? In other words, birdseye view straight-down at the map? This was available in CMBO and it made it quick to move troops! Thanks, JB
  6. Hi, some more questions: 1) How do I know the HQ or Company leaders are close enough to their men to give them the support points? In CMBO there was a black or red line, I don't see any indicators. 2) I am noticing a significant advantage for Axis armour over Allied armour making the game to imbalanced to play. Am I the only one noticing that? Thank you, JB
  7. Hi, thanks for the help. Has BFC mentioned anything about the expansion packs? 1) How many expansion packs? 2) Release dates? 3) Types of troops? Any mention of Canadian ground troops and airborne? Thank you, JB
  8. Hi, One other question I forgot to ask. Is there a way to show all of the units way points during the setup mode, so I know where they are all going, instead of having to click on individual units? They use to have that feature in CMBO! Thanks, JB
  9. Hello, 1) Is there no random map generator in this game like CMBO had? 2) Can I create my own map in the scenario editor, save it to the maps directory and then use is as a QB map? That allows each player to purchase the troops they want and then place them where they want? 3) What is the "XO" squad? What are their duties? Thank you, JB
  10. Hello group, I took a look in the manual but I cannot find an answer to this question. When selecting the options in a QB is there a way to manually select the number of purchase points (pp)? I see the force adjustment of 150%, so the maximum using this with meeting engagement is approximately 17,000 pp. Is this the maximum the software can handle? Presumably, as long as your CPU and GPU can handle it, why set a maximum upper limit on pp and map size ?? Thank you, JB
  11. I tried first without rebooting and then once with rebooting both failed. It is still wanting the original resolution! Is this going to happen with the full version of the game when it arrives? If so, it is going back!!
  12. So if I change the file to 1920 1080 60 it will recognize my default resolution and work ??
  13. I found the file "display size.txt" and all it has in it is: 0 0 0
  14. Hi, I tried again and get a pop-up window that says it cannot initialize. It wants the lower resolution settings! This is nutz!!
  15. Hi, the problem I am having is the demo shuts down because it wants the lower setting. Is this only a demo issue? If so, I guess I will have to wait for the full program. Cordially, JB
  16. Hello, Just downloaded the demo. The demo says I must have my monitor set to 1024 * 768. My monitor defaults at 1920 * 1080 not 1024 * 768, so does this mean I cannot play CMBN? If so, I have a problem, I already ordered it through the mail  Thank you, JB
  17. A lovely recipe for all the BF pussies that don't like to discuss warfare:
  18. Perhaps, we should start two General Discussion Forums: one for "Men" and one for "Pussies", which forum will you be posting to Ms. Affentitten? Cordially, JB
  19. China threatens 'nuclear option' of dollar sales China could hurt the USA severely if they sell off their one-trillion in US monetary assets. The US is quite weak financially. Think of the US as a beautiful chocolate Easter egg on the outside but the inside is hollow due to the amount of debt that has eaten it away! The US has the strongest militarily but it does have weakness! Cordially, JB
  20. It is inevitable that the UN will not back down. This mean N.Korea has painted them self into a corner and the war is on!
  21. Hi, you make a good point. The NYALA might be better, but I haven't actually compared them Cordially, JB

  23. http://www.fas.org/nuke/guide/israel/missile/popeye-t.htm In May 2000 Israel is reported to have secretly carried out its first test launches from two German-built Dolphin-class submarines of cruise missiles capable of carrying nuclear warheads. The missiles launched from vessels off Sri Lanka in the Indian Ocean are said to have hit a target at a range of about 1,500 kilometers [about 930 statute miles]. Israel is reported to possess a 200kg nuclear warhead, containing 6kg of plutonium, that could be mounted on cruise missiles.
