Battlefront send me a patch with a hot fix for activating the Downfall module on my Mac. All good now.
V2.10b and no problems with the activation window either. I am running an iMac 27" and OS 10.15.7 (Catalina)

That is the usual sign that the patch didn't head to your proper directory. Usually these patches create a new brz and it might even be called v107.brz after the patch number. If that is not there with the other brz's in DATA folder, then try again magic 8 ball.
Inside the brz file, the new patch came with a new string file.txt and using the wrong one gives you this odd display of unit names and such. 99% sure.
EDIT: After successful patch, your CMCW home screen should say in bottom right corner v1.07 (99% sure)

For some reason I always get a big FPS hit and slow camera movement in scenarios with a lot of locations (red text). Turning those off can be a good start. Also turning off shadows in scenarios when the weather is bad and shadows don't show anyway.

    Hi @rocketman.
NIS (Nvidia Image Scaling) works well at 1440p.
    I recently purchased an "Asus TUF RTX 3060 Ti Gaming" and replaced a failing Monitor with a "Gigabyte M32Q" -32" 2560 x 1440 QHD SuperSpeed IPS Display - 165Hz / 170Hz (OC) Refresh Rate, 0.8ms (MPRT) & 1ms GTG.
Older Monitor but spot on perfect for the RTX 3060 Ti power.
When you got to "Nvidia Control Panel - Manage 3D Settings" - Select ON.
A table of the generated resolutions based on input resolution. The level of image scaling efficiency is related to the GPU you are using & your Monitor (as well as many other settings in "Nvidia Control Panel - Manage 3D Settings" you select.)
Both options available. Learned plenty more in the last few weeks.
Happy to try and consolidate what works in a BFC Message to you or another thread.

I can say that with relatively low investments Combat Mission 2022 looks "pretty amazing" with NIS (Nvidia Image Scaling)  set in my current setup. As a Long Time BFC customer (CMBO...CMx2...) CM 2022 never looked better👍

No performance issues here with any Combat Mission games using an i5 9600k (no overclock) and my recently purchased RTX 3060 ti. Using Nvidia image scaling at 2560x1440 with all settings at best ColdWar looks fantastic.

I thought AMD cpu's had pretty good single core performance. What model do you have, and also what gpu? AMD gpu's arw notorious around here for having OpenGL issues, on top of poor OpenGL performance.
I have never had performance problems in CMCW with my i5 9600k, and my now rtx 3060 ti

Aye hopefully it will be 'all good fun'  thanks Steve.
Aye, this battle pack is set during the fighting between the German and Soviet armies in eastern Poland during the summer of 1944. This fighting was some of the heaviest on the Eastern Front during the entire war. This battle pack presents a series of actions recreating key moments in this fighting through the perspective of the forces involved during July and August.
It’s been a real labour of love. The genesis of this battle pack was the  series of images in the photo book Kampfgruppe Mühlenkamp published by RZM and authored by Douglas Nash and Remy Spezzano. On the back of this I started work on what became the Five Days One Summer campaign which is the key campaign of this battle pack.
This battle pack would never have got anywhere without the help and support of a whole bunch of others. I would like to give a huge shout out to all those including the BFC beta testers for all the playtesting, feedback, advice and support. I am also indebted to Mr Douglas Nash for his freely given help and support in clarifying some of the details involved in several actions involving ‘Wiking’, notably the fighting around Tluszcz in mid-August 1944. If you’ve not checked out his recent trilogy “From the Realm of a Dying Sun” its well worth doing so for the background to this battle pack. Also worth having a look at is the “Operation Bagration 23 June-29 August 1944” by the Soviet General Staff which gives a ‘big picture’ view of the Soviet operations in this period.
I hope you all, as the players enjoy these scenarios and campaigns as much as I did researching and creating them. As always, I’d appreciate any comment and feedback and I look forward to seeing how this collection of scenarios and campaigns plays out for yourselves.
    Cheery!

@BFCElvis told us to go ahead and provide our impressions.
George = Evil surprises lurking around every bend, and fantastic maps. This battle pack delivers on these in full. A number of the battles feature wide open spaces and room to maneuver. You'll need to make careful use of tree lines and folds in the ground. Engaging scenarios, with @George MC's typical "storytelling" briefings that put you there as one of the participants.
$10 is an amazing bargain.  You won't be disappointed.

SF2 I find the campaigns more fun that a lot of the scenarios. Nothing against the scenarios, just the continuing action of the campaigns is fun. I particularly like the British campaign. There is a real variety of different missions and terrain and quite a challenge. Plus two branches for two different paths to take at one point which will change what the last 4-5 scenarios are completely (downtown Damascus, or south of Damascus). Great stuff. And if you saved in the "choice" scenario at the beginning of it, you can go back and choose the other path. You'll know what I mean when you get there - it's obvious how to do that - different objectives. Great stuff.

Keeping it simple, I'd like to see
A cancel button on the big red button's save email dialog. A two way acquire mechanism, so I can correct my mistakes when I take something that my unit can't use.   The combine command be a more reliable way to put my teams back together so I can break out a different team, or assault with the full squad after have broken it into teams. Maybe just select the two teams, and issue an assault. Command phase improvements. Things like tabbing through the selected unit's way-points, adding and deleting way-points, or selecting a unit and being able to quickly position the camera relative to it. More flexibility in embarking and debarking my grunts from and back into the vehicle. Wouldn't it be nice to move a vehicle to a waypoint where they wait for the grunts to load up, then move to another location. A way to select multiple units (e.g. vehicles), and plot a series of way-points, and all the selected vehicles travel through those way-points. (i.e. absolute movement rather than relative movement) In general, I'd like improvements to make the command phase to be less tedious. The easier it is to play the game, the more enjoyable it becomes.

Okay I think I finally nailed it.

IF civilian density is set to NONE or SPARSE everything is fine :
    - Any unit except spies, whether the unit is regular or uncon counts for the purpose of determining both occupy and touch terrain objectives.
    - Spies count for touch terrain objectives like other units do but they can't occupy.

    So far so good.

IF however you set civilian density to LIGHT or HIGHER, here is what happens :
    - Now combatants don't count for terrain objectives set to occupy.

Test 1 - Civilian density set to SPARSE :

Now same thing but with LIGHT civilian density :

Just to make sure I also did these two tests with a regular Syrian unit present on the map in case it had something to do with mixed regulars/uncons forces. But it didn't affect the results.

If you want to test it yourself, select the scenario under battles, pick red attacker, give a quick movement order to every group of uncons towards the terrain objectives right in front of them. After one turn, once they have all reached the objectives, hit cease fire and check the victory points. First try the scenario with SPARSE civilian density then try with LIGHT civilian density and compare the results.

The terrain shift when shifting between Germany and NTC region in QB is dramatic. I can see people playing faux Yom Kippur war engagements on the NTC landscape, its like having two separate games.

If the scenario orders tell you your air support's bases have been bombed that's an event out of scope of the scenario that still affects immediate gameplay. Same goes for your artillery support hit by counter-batter fire or reinforcements not arriving due to blown bridges or an off-map WMD event. These don't happen on-screen but they shape the battlefield nonetheless.

Game engine 5 is in the future. They release Fire and Rubble module - BAM! They release Cold War - BAM! Then we see what comes after that. Its been a long time that they haven't been secretly juggling two or three (or more) projects at the same time. What's next on their to-do list (scratches head).
