  1. well these ballistics are something that the devs need to look into for CM:SF and all upcoming games and mods. I mean in CM:SF .50 cal rounds bounce off of buildings! In the new CM:Normandy, there should definitly be alot of stuff that the basic rifle can penetrate, cause pretty much every thing else on the US side uses 30-06(except for the M1911, Thompson, Greasegun, and M1 carbine, and M2-HB .50 cal)
  2. see now, I like it when you devs tell us what is going on on your end. I dont like it when you hold stuff back from us and keep quiet about stuff. If its supposed to be a suprise then tell us its a suprise but nothing else. that way we dont feel like you guys are slacking off, or just keeping something back from us. Im pretty sure almost everybody else feels the same as me.
  3. Naw, I was talkin bout the overall war, but who cares. Huh. Dont quite get what u mean. Yeah I know, Americans are just plain nuts arent they, especially me.
  4. I would like to know, if possible, what this game might cost.
  5. Well get your own game company to make a game for you Brits! hehe Im just kiddin. I do agree though that most US gamers want to play as US and nobody else. I dont want to play as Germans or Brits, just like you want the opposite. It shows were patriotic! Also, I think that the German uniforms SUCK! Of couse im an American and most Americans like the look of green shirts and brown pants and boots. I also like the rank patches that the Americans have better. The European ones look upside down to me. Black or grey just isnt the color for a combat uniform, nor a general's uniform. At least to me its not. But nevertheless us Americans wont forget our brothers in arms. (we wooped your butts in the War for Independance, which my great, great, great grandpa was in. haha just messin with you)
  6. Yeah our troops(or at least 99% of them) dont commit warcrimes! The ones that do are court marshalled and probably hung!
  7. Yeah, rocks is somethin I would like to see also. I mean BIG rocks. Oh and something else I would like to suggest is to make the bullet-hitting-soldier detection more accurate. You know... when the bullets pass right through a guy but he isnt even wounded.
  8. YES! I am just plain happy to see a WW2 title comin around that looks like Shock Force. Its what Ive dreamed of for a while. I love WW2, and I dont really care so much about the Shock Force time area. I think that the tanks and vehicles and rifles from WW2 look more like tanks and vehicles and rifles than the new modern stuff, even if the new stuff works better than the ones from WW2 except for the Rifles of course. I think M16 and M4 sucks. M1 Garand, BAR, M14, and Thompson rules!(even though M14 wasnt WW2 I still like it)
  9. Nah i havent got any saves cause i had to reinstall. and I dont think that 1.2 covered that bug, or at least the info around here didnt. I havent seen the actual readme, and thats somethin else I would like to know where to get if possible.
  10. Yeah, It is a night battle! Do you know where I can get the versoin that works?
  11. Oh yeah, sorry forgot. Prob because Ive never tried that mode. And JonS you seem pissed off. If its because of me I dont know what I did to set you off. If your not pissed or its not because of me then never mind.
  12. Also back to the Armies topic, in the NATO expansion can you fight against the Germans? That was my primary want for them anyway.
  13. I agree Elmar, although I kinda see there problem. They dont want to offend people, make them get mad over their game and start making the devs lose sales and money.
  14. Well I mean, Mario in a way has a better "campaign system" than CM:SF. because if Mario "loses" his "mission" he starts it again, but in CM:SF if you lose your mission you continue to the next mission just as if you won the last mission. So you could at least do something about that. No campaign system is perfect but I think that you could make it better than what it has now and more than 40% of people could be pleased. I love the CC2 campaign sytem except for that theres only so many battle areas and they are such small battle areas. CM could do great because of the huge maps it offers. Anyway what I would like to see in CM is some sort of map of your campaign and your progress,(doest have to be fully dynamic) a carry over of your troops from the previous battle, and something to happen when you lose a battle. I would love to have this in the new CM:Normandy. WW2 is my favorite because of the variation, guns that can shoot through lots of stuff, basic troops that can shoot an enemy at 500yds with his rifle, and just the lushness of the battle areas.( I hate desert) Also I have a bug in my CM:SF campaign. After a certain battle it wont continue to the next, it just crashes the game.(Dont tell me thats the end!) (The reason you kept fighting the same battles over and over was because you kept losing and getting pushed back.)
  15. Yeah Ive got the original Close Combat and Close Combat 2 and played both. Amazingly Close Combat 2 works on Windows XP, but Close Combat doesnt. Its also wierd that I would have these old games because Im only 14 years old. But anyway I also would love to have the campaigns in the Combat Mission games.
  16. have you ever played an old game for windows 95 called Colse Combat:A Bridge too Far? ( I doubt you have, its old) In that game you command forces on the US British or German sides. You have a campaign map that has certain areas for a battle. Well you have a number of units in the campaign and you use them as best you can in the battles. If you lose a battle the enmy gains ground and you get pushed back or annihilated all together. If you kill the enemy and win they get pushed back and etc. Sometimes the amount of terrain lost or won is still on the same map. Look it up. I think there is a newer Close Combat Battle of the Bulge that actually lets you decide where and when to attack. But anyway the idea is whatever happens happens and you have to deal with it on a campaign and individual battle scale. Understand?
  17. Awesome! I did not know of any CM:SF 2 coming out. I also would like to see a fully dynamic campaign in CM:SF 2 now that I know about it. Thanks for your post.
  18. I think that CM:SF needs more Armies and Terrains in it. It gets kinda boring seeing desert and Syrian towns all the time. I think it would be cool if the modern German Army was added and also some terrain for Germany to go with it. What does everybody else think on this. BTW the developers have done an excellent job on this game.
  19. Can you build cities in this game?
  20. Thanks. I will most likely buy it. If I dont, its because I dont have the money.
  21. Hey guys, I was wondering about this game, if it has sound.( like combat sounds and movement sounds) I was wondering this because I watched the gameplay vids and didnt hear any sound. (My first post!)
