The Battlefront.com website is down
Chirac75 replied to BFCElvis's topic in Combat Mission - General Discussion
If it is indeed down because of a larger than usual traffic, I guess there are worse thing to suffer from. I will nonetheless keep checking daily 'til I can kick some yankee/commie asses. -

I was playing the same battle as Doc844 above and Unteroffizier Kurwel here has managed to solve the backblast problem of the shreck. Just shoot with your back to the open door! -

It happened during the "Lost Cats" scenario. I lost all four of my leaders that had the urge to use the .50 while under the command "no unbuttoned". All killed by small arms fire. But from your comments, it seems it might have just been bad luck. To get back on topic: Also from "Lost Cats", there is this rare kind of enemies that seems to enrage all the guns on the map! -

Love the Hellcat although... ...If anyone knows how to get those idiot tank leaders to stay buttoned up, I'd be extremely grateful ! -

GUYS !!!! HEY GUYS !!!! Look around! There's a big pile of clues as to where NOT to cross the road. -
Does your question raise concern about the utility of the M1 in particular or the MBTs in general?

Don't know if it is the only way but I simply run the youtube vid I want, click and select the address (the same as in your blue link above) then ctrl+v in the message body (right click and paste does not seem to work). like so: BTW, thanx for that link. I had never heard of that show/mini series before !

Thanks for the trip down memory lane! I used to get up early to play a few turns before going to school. Those polygons were the last and first things I'd see while a bachelor (and for some time after).

Missions in NATO module....

I have that from somewhere I forgot, maybe it helps? -
And from The Thin Red Line, I couldn't choose just one scene (in my top 5 movies of all time, all genres included):

So here's my lead Panther, minding its own business rolling down the road with its two SPWs homies (second one is just above right side of the turret). As they near a crossroad, I stop all and ask the right 251 to exit a team to get a peak thru that right hedgerow for any contact. Well... I guess... Jackpot? (trees removed for visibility) -
The french tankers had some kind of compromise. Steel helmet with leather flap in the back and "cushion" buoy in the front. The front might have been thought as a shock absorbant while in the tank much like the leather pillow found on german plane gunsights (?).

1st screen of the 1st Mission of the 1st campaign is always a fond memory. A tad more love for the second one in this case.

It did not...due to a mine down the road. -

Charge of the light brigade -
Update: I had no problem finding the Green monster. Here's the result so far. It's easy and one task minded. But you guys have, basically given a step-by-step of PS Alpha mastering, I now have to give it a go as well. Thanx again.

I've had a similar problem and one crew hadn't bailedout. The scenario ended right after. My guess is that this missing crew was wounded inside by my last zook and the time it took him to either recover from shock and move or die and disppear was more than the 25 seconds left in the game. So the evil feline was still -technically- with a crew. Just a guess.
-
Thanx guys! I'll try the Alpha channel thing with my photoshop and when I fail and cry, I'll look up Greenfish.

I've been trying to slightly modify the awesome CatTacticalIconsCMFI mod, but I'm having trouble with the finishing touch. The corners on that ammo carrier unit -even though I did not modify them- do not disappear in game as they should. Also, I haven't changed colors, but it seems brighter or less see-through maybe? I'm obviously missing something, please advice, help, slight berating... PS: I know it's a CMRT forum, but it's a general icon issue and this area is more likely to see traffic
-
It appears here to have its main gun aimed toward back left:

Sorry to unearth an old thread, but I just bought the CMFI/GL combo and I wanted to get the same feel in that game as I had in CMBN/CW using mods. I saw you had your updated floating icon one, and I immediatly got it, but... The tankettes and Saharanas aren't cooperative! Did I miss something? PS: love the AARs, and of course, the mods...

Cleared Minefield not cleared ?
Chirac75 replied to Chirac75's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
The mines in this thread have already been marked. Do you need to mark infantry mines AND tank ones separately? Even in same spot? I couldn't see any new red sign post after the blast, indicating another minefield (anti-tank or otherwise).
