  1. After further review, to me it seems the break down is kinda like this: WEGO 9 Real Time 6 Best of both worlds 11 (Not counting the Lan proxie vote for 4, which I agree would have to be real time.) Really seems to be all about the size of the scenario...which makes sense. I myself will still stay with the WEGO. I still think its the most realistic. The pause on the real time really doesn't make it real. WEGO you really have to deal with your 60sec decisions. Great game anyway ya play it. - Game on Brothers.
  2. So far looks like it breaks down like this: WEGO 8 Keeping it real: 3 WEGO/Real Hybid 6
  3. Never heard of the MTVR, before this, but checked it out...and I thought the MRAP was ugly. I also found the Cougar, never seen that before either. Anyway 10,000 MRAPs seems like a lot of them - Just thought they would make a showing. http://www.army.mil/-news/2009/02/22/17268-10000th-mrap-fielded-in-iraq/ Sounds like they are working on a Baby-MRAP that's more mobile for the afghanistan conflict.
  4. You think? It was really just something I was tossing out as a guess. I would think it could be used in the same situations as the HUMVEE.
  5. I thought this was about the price of cigs going up? Serious, good post - I have not tried to drop some smoke yet but will try in my next battle. - Thanks for the tips.
  6. I ordered the Marines expansion automatically, while waiting, I decided to check and see what all I was getting. I noticed they do not list the MRAP. Wonder why? They paint these puppies the next town over and they seem to be moving lots and lots of them, so I believe they would be around in the future. Perhaps they felt they are not front line equipment and really for for occupation forces? Any thoughts or reasons why not included?
  7. Thanks team, I will be checking these out this weekend.
  8. As I mentioned in another thread, I want to knock out some of the battles before I tackle the Campaign. I chose ATGM Ambush as my first due to the small size of my force. Any suggestions on what I should try next to learn the ropes or should I be messing around in the QuickBattles? What did some of you Vets start with? Any suggestions would be just swell.
  9. New to Shock force, but been a big fan and owner of all the Combat Mission games - I'm still stuck on Turn-based. Seems to really help while I learn the ropes of the modern combat engine. So far I'm only playing the "Battles" (finally finished my first and only battle ATGM Ambush...after many tries) and hope to move forward to the Campaign after finishing many more and getting my tactics down. As I was struggling with ATGM Ambush, I started to wonder how others were playing? So I though I would ask, do you folks play Real-time or Turn-based? I would love to see what the mob says.
  10. For your Big 40th-B-day coming up, that you were going to splurge for the Big Screen TV you been drooling over since last year...due to the economy killing your work and your pay you settle for the Marines expansion instead...much to your wife's joy. (Oh well maybe for the big 41 then...) Game on!
