Thank you for the replies. Feel free to add to them, for the benefit of all. So far, I made one two-player scenario and playtested it with a friend. It also works well against the AI from the German side. I used a stock map. Map making seems nearly impossible if you have any elevations--mine look like the surface of the moon, I need to find a tutorial. :-)

Is there a guide to walk you through how to create a campaign from scratch? Thanks! -Marsh

I did it after University and the one where you choose the route. (Does it make a difference which route?) Real Time.

I read the thread on here about the Razorback ridge mission, and I'm still a bit confused as how to crack the nut. At present, I start by sneaking my FO up the main road towards the crossroads and I mortar the heck out of it, with everything I have. I send in infantry and try to clear it out. I usually succeed. Then, I have to contend with enfilade fire from the road in the direction of the farm. Usually I am able to put some rounds on that and some infantry and it gets cleared out. From there, I deploy my engineers to make a breach in the hedgerow next to the crossroads to allow units to pass through that field without attracting attention from the left bank units. Typically, I finish using my artillery on the woods on the left in an effort to wipe out their assets, but it usually fails. By this time, I'm halfway across the map and time runs out. In addition to time, I am decimated by enemy artillery which is plentiful and deadly. It simply kills everything. Obviously, I'm doing it wrong. Any suggestions? Thanks, all.

Hello. I love this game so much, I bought it twice. LOL I bought the digital download when it was released, got rid of the old computer, then bought a new computer and the boxed version of the game for it. Anyway, I have 1.10.0.81, and I ran the single player program as an administrator and that worked. However, I have not been able to get the other features (except the map editor) to run. I keep getting, "Wrong Game Version. The application will not work with a current version of a game [sic] Theatre of War. Error: #3000." Another bug I suffer is when I try to save a battle in progress, I am unable to recover it later--I have to restart the battle. That's not a big deal--the game IS fun, but sometimes I'd like to save my progress within a battle and pick up later (like after the dishes are done-lol).
