Yet, here's the comment: I'm sorry, but I see no way to discuss the undue influence of jews/zionists, their myriad of organizations or their statelet of Israel, without at minimum coming across as "provocative". In fact, it is quite absurd to expect to allow politicial discussion, as you generously have up until now, without expecting there to be some sort of "provocative" issues being brought up. It's the nature of politics. The fact of the matter is that terms such as "provocative" are always and without exception only the first derogatory comments leveled at anyone who has the temerity to point to the aforementioned 800-lb gorilla - that is, the near total jewish control of US foreign policy, especially as it pertains to the Middle East, the near total jewish control of the mainstream media and their near total censorship of any discussions thereof - the only major exception being the internet. Someone on the other thread inferred that the graphics I posted did not qualify as "intelligent" discussion. Rest assured that if I wanted to, I could inundate this board from top to bottom with intelligent articles dealing with said gorilla and related issues, on an almost daily basis. Alas, I'm content with occassionaly posting a reality check, as I have a life outside of gaming forums. And what, exactly, would happen if the thread temperature would go above your arbitrary temperature of 90 degrees? I'm aware of your predicament, Mr. Moon. If you don't cut off these discussions immediately, the various jewish readers (of which there is an unusual preponderance in this hobby - these otherwise "peaceful" unassuming creatures, these individual "lights upon the nations of the world" are drawn to it like flies to a flame) of this forum would quickly spread the word that Battlefront.com allows "anti-semitic" viewpoints to be expressed on their website. After that, your company might find it increasingly hard to do business, as many other companies have found out in the past. You don't cross the jews and get away with it. You're hardly the first or only webmaster to have to deal with this. Know this though, Mr. Moon. People are becoming more aware of this issue and every time a webmaster such as yourself bans someone for bringing it up, people are watching. You may have your vocal supporters who will post their snide comments in your support, but it's the ones who merely observe and take notes that will decide the issue in the future. The jews have been overreaching again, as they often have in the past, and, as in the past, there will eventually be a "correction". Weak, but I took note of that on the day I registered. I knew what it meant and you would be more honest with your customers if you put up a sign that read, "Political discussions are allowed, except for any criticism of individual jews, jewish organizations, or the state of Israel". Thanks for at least reducing the somewhat clumsy expression of "the 800-lb. gorilla in the kitchen" to "it". Buh-bye.

The F-16 game I have is definitely by Interactive Magic, although not necessarily by DI, as you say, although their name is on the disc as well. I'm looking at the disc as I write and I still have the twin box it and Hind came in. Here, I found an online picture of it, although this is not the twin box I have. Im not as in-tuned with PC gaming as I once was, so I'm wondering what the best helicopter sim is right now. I mean military sim. I've got an older one called Hind, from Interactive, which came in a twin-pack along with an F-16 sim. Couldn't get it to run last year, but I think that was because I didn't have the F-16 sim installed. I'm now thinking they both need to be installed for either to work. Anything else out there?

If there's no black hole - OK. If there is a black hole - ........OK. Not like anyone's gonna feel anything. I think. The thing is, in all these various articles, the scientists keep saying that there is only an infinitesimally small chance of a black hole eating the earth, or some similar wording. I originally joined way back in 2000 and had a membership number somewhere in the 200's I think. I think I made a couple of posts, but then didn't post for a long time and lost my password somewhere along the way. Then there was some kind of software change which made it impossible to retrieve my password, or everyone had to re-register, or some such. I should look in the early CMBO archives to see if I can spot any posts I may have made. I think one of the things I discussed was the fact that the CMxx PBEM routine could have been accomplished with only 2 file exchanges per game turn instead of 3. EDIT: I posted the above before reading the entire thread and after having done so it seems I must have joined even earlier than 2000, if my membership number was in the 200's. Or maybe it was the membership number that was in the 2,000's, but I don't think so. Whatever, still pretty low. For some reason I remember playing the CMBO canned scenario One Long Cold Day on election day 2000 (early November) and I know I had already joined some time prior to that.

BB's were a bit too powerful in Empire Deluxe. I played a few pbem games (none to conclusion) against several opponents, one of which always built BB's exclusively, no other ship types. It took a while, but eventually he ruled the seas, every time. I suppose changing the ship values, which was doable as I remember, might have helped. EDIT: It wasn't you, was it?

I'm also having the problem of pages loading near the bottom, or the middle, or somewhere other than at the top of the first post. While the link at the bottom of the Community page (Click Here for Full Screen View) makes everything OK, is there a way for me to save that setting in my User CP so I don't have to click on that link every time? I'm using IE 7.0, surely not an odd browser. Yes, I suppose I could bookmark it, but who needs yet another bookmark? Besides, when I visit company websites, I like to start out at the front page, so I don't miss the news.

Oh, I thought there might be a built-in Windows utility I could use. I'm sorry, but I'm not going to download something just to check the FPS. I don't download programs I deem unnecessary off the 'net. Kind of a rule of mine to keep my computer clean. After a while, I'd just end up with all kinds of add-ons, plug-ins and so forth which I only used one time and then never again. And if I start to run into problems, I don't have the technical knowledge to deal with them, so I'm better off not going that route. I do appreciate other, more knowledgable folks doing it though.

I haven't played any huge scenarios lately. In fact, I haven't played the game at all for about a year, but I wanted it to work, since it's the best thing since sliced Spam. The three games have been on my hard drive(s) ever since their releases. How do I check FPS while playing? I'd like to find out for you.

Hey, thanks a lot for those, they fixed the problem, at least for me (see this thread). Can you (or anyone else) tell me whether this fix interferes with PBEM games? I'm thinking it shouldn't since it's basically just a modded bmp which only affects my computer.

Thanks for your reply. I just noticed another thread which mentioned a fix for the issue I'm having, which indeed fixed the problem. It involves exchanging three bmp files in each of the CM games. A link for downloading the three files can be found in this thread (thank you, Panama Red). While this indeed appears to fix the issue, I hope I don't run into problems somewhere down the road, as it is not an official patch from Battlefront. I don't apply mods, or at least I haven't yet, so that's not an issue. (EDIT: Well, these three bmp files are mods, aren't they? Ok, I'm a modder now.) Yes, I know ATI is now part of AMD and perhaps AMD will straighten out those former ATI "slackers", as someone else mentioned on another thread. I'm still hoping this will get a "proper" fix with a future driver from AMD, as they seem to be released on a monthly basis.
