  1. theFightingSeabee has a winner here for anyone with a folder of mods. Get ready for the Holiday Treat. Thanks, FightingSeabee.
  2. "Since the cat is already out of the bag on this one, my next project is going to have much smaller Blue forces, probably as small as a single platoon." PT, Sounds like a fine idea. Not that I have mastered you larger works. I have not. I still got in harms way the other PM:) I just noticed over 3K views of this thread! You are creating interest if not replies on your hard work. Now the idea of Iron Level 1 or 2 platoons campaigns seems to me to fit the CMSF combatant on a laptop just fine with an occasional CAS incorporated for fun:D
  3. Kudos to you guys for working through the Parallels Frustration. My my Intel Mac Book Pro (Early 2008 - 2.5Ghz - 512VRAM - 4GB RAM). I gave up and did the Booty Camp compromise. When is that Mac OS X shocking force version due?
  4. Is it eco friendly? Rated City / Highway MPG?
  5. "each mission has a REAL influence on the progression of the story line... after about 4-5 hours of playtesting... I won't have to make many alterations to the map either as it's already quite 'rich' in posibilities." Sounds fantastic PT. Also sounds like I will need 4-5 weeks to make it through "The Road to Dimas". Peace,
  6. Your "creative" block is gone. Looks fine PT. Thanks again for the updates.
  7. Thanks. I went back and cleared my "Z" folder, no conflicts from anything else and OddBall's sound mod now works with Marines. Had to turn the speaker volume down but more ferocious sounds are fun.
  8. "Will oddballs mod work with marines or is it a new version?" I don't think it will. At least loaded in my Z it does not. Yes, An OddBall sound mod for marines would be fine.
  9. Excellent scenario and fun. On my 3rd time through TV. Busted my own forces with a little too close CAS 2nd run and eliminated BW in that cluster flux. Great job on the entire package birdstrike.
  10. "...to see all my units in a list and be able to select them. A double-click would take you to them." Yes. Maybe a pop up list window say next to the Admin Commands button? With the associated condition, action indicated. I would use this. Additionally a way to see all CAS, artillery point, linear, and area targets at once. Then select the spotter and go to him. A way to map the save game button to an F key. And more.
  11. Rams Away:D + Bridges + Air to ground, ground to air. The CMx1 shadow system in CMx2 has got to be an improvement. CAS, when executed well in the game now, is a spectacular amusement. I would still buy a good 3D aircraft, flight paths, etc. module. + Modules for a business model. + CMx2 is 1:1 now and forever. "I feel a distinct pang when one of my guys goes down." Then IMO the 1:1 is more realistic.
  12. Proper aircraft modeling, planes (not just shadows) swooping in, AA fire, crashes would be superb. Hope this makes the included feature list. I would buy a "Proper aircraft modeling" module if it did not.
  13. As the Repository grows so does your Z folder, at least mine does. The ability to quickly swap groups of mod sets is a useful tool for many folks. Keep up the good work FightingSeabee CogNative
  14. http://www.cmmods.com/ Down right now. The older QBG Maps were great so the newer versions will be a real treat. Thanks QBG.
  15. Great tip Mark and thanks to all the QBG. Your advice worked as you said. FO with something to go boom in QB! A revision of the QBG Maps... Is there any change the naming methodology? Sivodsi..."why they are available to be picked.." good question.
  16. "Heavily reworked BFC originals for sharper details." You are too modest Marco. Great addition to the game. Thanks, CogNative
  17. You know "The Road to Dimas" is going to be fun from your description PT. 'The Lakes'... 15 minutes to load! Maybe the office will need to upgrade my "work" Mac for me? Better yet, an OS X version of CM2! Got a minor defeat in 'Harm' but I will go back and try a different strategy now. AI use it's artillery dynamically. Good thing about BFC... they listen to customers and keep improving their products. CogNative
  18. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Wanat "It was close combat to be sure — hand grenade range." "Two American soldiers, Lieutenant Jonathan Brostrom and Corporal Jason Hovater, were killed trying to deliver ammunition under fire to their comrades in the observation post who were running low. American soldiers were at times flushed out of their fortifications by what they thought were grenades, but which were actually rocks thrown by the attackers." The US brought in air power to stabilize the situation in a fight that then lasted for several hours. Sounds like a very intense 30 minutes +.
  19. "The earlier vehicles ARE the A2s." Now I know more. "I can guess if a vehicle doesn't get upgraded it was just too old/broke for them to fix." Would be a nice "surplus" purchase for Christmas if they sold them for domestic driving? Gas is cheap again too:D CogNative
  20. Did not know what a spall liner was. Now I do. Seems like a smart and inexpensive upgrade. Hope the earlier vehicles get the upgrade.
  21. From the OS X, CM1 side, "Pavlov's MacModganizer" was an essential tool in easy and rapid "Mod Whoring" for the old OS 9 Mac world. Now with CM2, 'Booty Camp', a FightingSeabee mod manager for cmsf would be very welcomed even for the Dumbest Possible User. "If you have Access or Access Runtime, it should work." I don't know if this in my 'Booty Camp' partition but if I can be of help I volunteer FightingSeabee. CogNative.. next to the most ... Dumbest Possible User:o BTW: Scipio, Thanks for your great work as well. I just repacked some of your work into a brz today. works great and less clutter in the Z folder.
  22. Thanks Dan. Excellent pictures from Afghanistan... indeed. CogNative
