  1. Cool, Im not sure if you mentioned it before Gnasher, but is there a website that I would go to check out this tutorial of sorts? Thanks for the help. And happy hunting.
  2. Ummm Are we there yet? LOL Great Naval Battles of WWII, that was an excellent game.. just needs better graphics, and better AI-and acurate depiction of the naval ships with color schemes.
  3. I love this game. I played pvp and as the Axis I got Italy in the war by early 1940, France capitulated and at the same time invaded Yugoslavia and Greece. By the end of 1940 Germany controlled Poland, France, Yugoslavia, Greece, and Holland. The Brits were on the move down in Africa so I built some subs to help out the Italians, pretty much decimated the Brits in the Med, but I lost 1 sub, and 2 Italian Cruisers. Saw the need to help the N. African campaign so I beefed up the diplomats toward Tuyrkey. By late 1941 I was defending France from the Brits, but I landed 1 Armor, 1 Sp. Forces and 1 Army in N. Africa near Syria. The Italians were barely holding on to Tobruk, but when I landed it caused some issues with the Brits. With literaly no Sea assets left in the med the UK lost N. Africa by 1941 early. At this time I had been preparing for Russia. Now with Italy controling N. Africa, I pressed the DAK towards Saudi Arabia. Turkey became an ally to the Axis powers, with of course Hungary, Romania and bulgaria, Finland. In the end with pressure from Turkey the war in the east was a little easier, but close. The US became involved in 1942, thank god I had bought a large ammount of air power, really helped destroy transport ships before they reached the W. front, with support from Axis subs in france. My surface fleet was bottled up until about 1944 where I felt comfortable about engaging the Allies surface fleet, with Russia pretty much routed I was able to transfer assets to the west, and build more naval and air units... in the End we had just landed on the Southern shores of the UK. The Axis had at this time level 5 tanks, and airpower with level 2 AT, and level 3 inf. Totaly fun game.. next time Im playing the Allies!
  4. I agree, the only problem.. I have no idea of code, what it is and such. Therefore I will most likely stick to CMBB and CMAK to make my scenerios and campaigns. But I really do Like how TOW looks, too bad not everyone has the experience to code to make your own missions and scenarios.
  5. True in regards to entering buildings. I think Urban combat is extremely challanging and very exciting. I still enjoy CMBB and CMAK just for that purpose. I do wish they had more builing mods for CMAK and CMBB, with 3 story structures and such so you can better simulate a real City enviornment like Stalingrad, Berlin, and other Russian townes. Even more mediteranean mods would be nice... it would be sweet to march troops thru Paris, or Rome..
  6. Intersting. So basicaly CMC is just a game that will show Divisional to Battalion Icons on the large map, and then you fight the battles like in CMBB, or CMAK... It will not save the damaged battalion, or Regiment, but will continue on to the next battle? What is the point then of calling it a campaign game if none of the data is stored or calculated for the next segiment into the campaign. Will I not be able to attack a weaker foe thru intelligence knowing that it had just been previously attacked, or that it was blunted thru counter attack or that it suffered heavy casualties from attacking a strong defense. Im trying to visualize what this game brings to the table. If Talonsoft can make Operational dynamic games that were very successful, why has no one esle bothered since. It appears everyone on this forum would like a Talonsoft based game, but with the CMBB or better CMAK graphics... Lord I would even take a glich free TOW engine version... I do apreciate the hard work that goes into something like this, but again feel that it misses the true meaning of dynamic, where the front lines change depending on how well you do.
  7. Well an outstanding job indeed. I can only hope that downloading such add on missions would be easy. Thanks for your hard work, and historical accuracy.
  8. Well we are defenitely giving you a big round of applause, so far it looks great!
  9. Oh yeah.. one more things since I am no modder... LOL. Can you re-name the units and individual soldiers, tank commanders etc. Ie... Michael Wittman (Tank Commander)
  10. That is awesome! cant wait to download it. couple of questions on accuracy though. I know the movie "A bridge to far" tried to be pretty accurate, however I dont remember if the brits had AT guns near the Hotel? I know this is just a mock up of what you are trying to accomplish so I am not knocking anything here... just being curious. Also since the 9th and 10th SS were in the area, is someone going to make an infantry mod for them using Smocks, and dot pattern tunics? I know the British had camo smocks for themselves which are real nice.... I have one. Cheers, and great work. keep it up.
  11. Yipes.... I may just stick to designing my own CMBB and CMAK battles... its far easier. One of these day they will have mods for the noobs that like wargaming. Anyways it is a pretty engine though with TOW. I agree thought the Infantry from both sides are pretty generic as far as fighting. If your not babbysitting them, they will all die for sure. Artillery is the mother though... even when prone they get killed easy. Im sure the artillery has the same line of sight (damage) as everything else plus concussion kill range. anyways artillery is nasty against troops.
  12. Hello, I have read this entire post and Im still wondering what the heck. CMBB, and CMAK runs so good on my machine, plus I have GTR2, Medieval Total War II, IL-Sturmovik, they all run great. I have a Pentium 3ghz machine 1 Gig of ram, and a Nvidia 6800 card. I did what they said and turned off certain things, got the latest Nvidia drivers. I can play the game for about an hour, then it locks up.. I have to unplug the bloody machine. can anyone tell me what else to do, I highly doubt its the graphics card. I know the machine is not 2008 specs but jeeesh! any help would be cool. thanks
  13. Thanks RedBear, I do think that TOW is a great platform that should be added to. Its difficult to make the first game completely 100%. I believe in the folks at BF and all the developers that they will add on to this beautiful game, with more Units, and different theatres of operations, like the Western Front, and Italian theatres.
  14. ahhh I get it. Basicaly who cares if the skins to the units look different.. Its the AI for the unit that needs modification. Well put, Well hopefully someone out there can make elite units, elite units, Like Rangers, Airborne, and PzGdr units. I have played about a total of 6 missions, and I hate how you have to tell them to stop all the time, as they run into tanks and machine gun fire. I do like how CMBB and CMAK have Green-Crack unit that you can just select. Anyways cheers to all the Moders out there!
  15. I am sure going to buy this when it comes out, thinking positively, I just hope the developers leave an easy way to edit campaigns. I also hope that they add CMAK to it in the future as well, so that we can have Normady campaign, "West Front" and an Italian Campaign, with Greeks, and Balkan theatre.
