  1. Worked fine for me. Check post #14 in this thread for confirmation from Hubert http://www.battlefront.com/community/showthread.php?t=100920&highlight=wolfe+1759&page=2
  2. Welk - this looks excellent, how do I download it, I can't find it in the repository.
  3. If your interest is in playing Germany (and Italy) in Europe then with SC Global Gold you can download the free (and very good) Storm Over Europe Fast Play campaign which covers WW2 in Europe and North Africa (and USA if the Allies do really badly) and you can still play the normal global campaign when you want. If the ETO is your focus then I'd suggest getting SC:WWI which has the most up to date WW2 ETO campaign included in it (Storm Over Europe) and also has SOE Fast Play available amongst other full WW2 ETO campaigns.
  4. Remember to update the NATO icons http://www.battlefront.com/community/showthread.php?t=109052
  5. Twilight 2000 - the joy of having an M1A1 with ammo but not enough fuel to get it to the next village and then eventually trading it in for safe passage, a cow, a few chickens and a couple of horses
  6. There is a Spanish Civil War 1936 - 1939 scenario in the original SC2 Weapons and Warfare expansion.
  7. Will do. The old adage of never proofread your own copy still applies, happy to be your proofreader. Keep up the good work. P.S. any thoughts on doing an Anglicised version ?
  8. I've been looking forward to this, thanks for uploading. There are a few problems with the NATO icons however The Finnish have turned Japanese The Romanians have turned invisible (only the bases are showing) And I think there might be a problem with the Slovaks
  9. mike... - what crispy131313 said (P.S. I'm assuming you are towerbooks over at the Matrix forums) crispy131313 - looking forward to Fall Weiss II (Breakthrough)
  10. If you want to play WW2 in Europe (i.e. the same as SC2 WaW) using SC Global Gold I can highly recommend 1939 SOE Fast Play by Winti available in the Repository. If you are more interested in the ETO rather than the PTO you may want to look at SCWW1 instead as it has a full WW2 ETO campaign Storm Over Europe (with an updated version of this in Breakthrough). Unless you really want the scenarios in SC2/WaW/PDE, SCWW1+Breakthrough might be a better option if you want full theatre WW2 campaigns (plus you will get lots of very good WW1 scenarios / campaigns and the Russian Civil War in Breakthrough). Having got used to the updates and new features in Gold and WW1 it is quite difficult to go back to and really enjoy the original SC2.
  11. As far as I am aware there is a Franco-Prussian War campaign due to be released for SCWW1 in an upcoming patch "In the meantime we might have one or two more things to keep players happy while we develop that, hopefully including a Franco-Prussian War scenario for Breakthrough if all goes well!" Which is from this article (final paragraph) http://www.tacticularcancer.com/content.php?id=3885
  12. Hello as well from another Matrix forumee (I'm just plain Wolfe over there), agree with what Wodin said. As to smaller scenarios have a look at Gaza or Megiddo, if you have Breakthrough there are more smaller scenarios in that expansion as well as two very nice single front scenarios (France and Russia respectively) which can be a very good way to get a feel for the game before trying the full Call to Arms campaign. If you want to have a go at WW2 you can download Storm Over Europe Fast Play or Fall Weiss II scenarios from the Repository, although both are the full WW2 campaign they are done on a smaller map and are give or take about half the size of the full Storm Over Europe campaign, I personally also prefer this scale of WW2 campaign - you get all the same decision making and experience the grand sweep of WW2 in Europe in a lot more playable format. P.S. if you haven't already have a look at this thread as well http://www.battlefront.com/community/showthread.php?t=107356
  13. Also having a look at this thread http://www.battlefront.com/community/showthread.php?t=95162 specifically posts 1, 13, 27, 32, 37, 105 might help clarify some of the additions that have come in patches that aren't in the manual. Also have a look at the expansion notes in the Breakthrough manuals folder.
  14. As long as supply is above 5 you are OK, when it gets to 5 or lower it has negative effects on action points (i.e. movement) and limits on the level it can be reinforced to - See pgs33-36 in the manual.
  15. The supply values should only change if something has changed on the map, this could be movement of units friendly or enemy(particularly HQs), weather (affects movement costs and thus supply) and damage to supply sources. See Supply and Action Points on pg33 of the manual for more info.
  16. The manual can be a bit lacking at times, in regard to your questions 1. pg33 Supply cross referenced with pg56 Resource Strength Values but even then it isn't explicitly stated as to how the Supply Value is represented on the map 2. and 3. As far as I can see abbreviations are not defined or explained anywhere in the manual, however they were in the SC2 Blitzkrieg manual which is the game I started with in the SC series (not much use to those who have started on the current release) When I started playing I admit it took me a fair bit of time to figure out what exactly those little circled numbers on the unit bases were ! General advice for understanding the interface is if you see something on the map you don't understand click on it and see what info comes up in the info box at the bottom of the screen. If that doesn't help right click on the terrain or unit and select properties for additional information. The properties screen can be the best way of figuring out what something is in the game. For example you might see (+1DB) in the combat prediction, what on earth is DB, right click to bring the units properties up - nope doesn't seem to be something to do with the units, right click and select the terrain properties and you will see mention of a Defensive Bonus which assuming you have just clicked on a forest will be 1. An updated version of SC2 Blitzkrieg appendix IX for SCWW1 would be very useful.
  17. Welcome to the forum. 1. It is the Supply Value of the city - click on the city and you will see the info box at the bottom of the screen. 2. Soft Attack 3. Soft Defence Hope that helps
  18. Just downloaded the 1.1 and looks promising. One oddity - when using the NATO symbols view rather than sprites the Germans become American and the Italians become German ! After a bit of investigation it is not just your Fall Weiss II which this is happening to but also the Fall Weiss and Fall Weiss Classic mods. In all instances what seems (in comparison to Storm Over Europe) to be missing is a unit_sprites_military.bmp and a unit_sprites_military_zoom.bmp from the Bitmaps folder in the campaign.
  19. Thanks for the reply and yes it is a very nice feature.
  20. Just wondered if there are any plans to patch in this feature into SC GC Gold ?
  21. Looks good and very much looking forward to the release. However the biggest attraction of Breakthrough for me is the Russian Civil War which by the video seems to be a bit of an afterthought (or as it puts it "bonus") rather than a major element of the expansion. Is the RCW just one of the scenarios or is it good enough to compete with AGEOD's RUS ?
  22. I'd recommend Storm Over Europe Fast Play for GC Gold if you haven't already found it.
