  1. That worked, thanks. Did I need to do it every time or just that once?
  2. OK, the turning off the Avast trick worked, thanks! But now I still have the same problem I had that caused me to want to reinstall my game. Whenever I complete my turn on a game it locks up and says something like "Failed (store) Permission Denied" and I have to go to processes on my computer and close it out because it wont let me just click OK. It locks the whole thing up. Any ideas? I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice.
  3. I had purchased WAW and Global Conflict a while back, and I tried downloading it on a different computer and it wont let me. It keeps saying that Avast is detecting a virus, then I tell it to ignore that and it still wont let me download the files of either game. Whats the problem?
  4. Thats my only option, delete my operating system? That seems kind of drastic, is there no patch the designers could make? I mean, ALL new computers are going to have Vista on them, this problem is not going to go away. It should be fixed, not just avoided.
  5. Does anyone have any advice? I am leaving the country in a month and I dont want to be stuck with a computer that cant play this game.
  6. I am having this same problem. I have the game on an older laptop with XP and it runs fine. I just got a brand new laptop with Vista and I can load up a game and start it, but whenever I touch a unit to move it I get the same exact error code stated above and the game closes itself down. How do i update my video card to fix this? I was going to give the old laptop to my wife and take this new one to Iraq with me, but I have to have my games! Please advise.
