Hey, I found my old SF CD, CD cover and Fieldmanual. Everything complete and original but.. where is the license code placed?? Further more I had all SF modules but can retrieve only one in M account.. best, Harold

From where the will the game be shipped? Last time (CM Italy) the bill was just too high with 45 + shipping (Netherlands) + customs. If it is again from outside Europe it will be download only for me. Can't wait to play!!

Triggered by Chek's story, what are good books to read on Monte Casino, or broader Gustav? I've read Peter Caddick Adams recent book. More tips? Like to read from both sides and all Allies (Rick Atkinson focuses to much on US for example (to my taste)). Any good suggestions? Best.

When one uses an optional Axis or Allied flavour HQ object, is only this object used with every HQ one uses from then on? Or is it used only with the correct unit? Tnx so far!

Now and then in my enthusiasm I select, by accident and unknown, to much units (set up fase). When placing the unit intended I screw up the set up of the rest of the company / platoon etc. Would be great to have an undo button to reset the last move. I know when I select to much units it's my fault but nevertheless... Best all

All true marginally, somewhere between Company of Heroes and Achtung Panzer. No C&C though, one (good) shot one kill, no base building and lot more coordinated ai. Fire and artillery distances real and helo's. No it's not a sim. But still CM could borrow a lot from it. Maps are huge 150-150 km, still running great. Unfortunately no demo.

Few days of from work and i hoped with Commonwealth Module.. Now killing time with Wargame European Escalation, came out today. Plays around 1985, Cold War. No comparison with Combat Mission but i wish it could steal some features of it. Plays fast and fluently: Best all, and still waiting, Harold

Thanks all! My sons are 16 and 17 years old. No real readers / wargamers but, new generation, fans of Band of Brothers, Brothers in Arms and Call of Duty. So they are just as curious as their dad. I'm also planning to order some battle of Normandy dvd's to provide them with some more background (books are no option regretably). Thanks!

No need overreacting Erwin. I'm playing both and like them both. I play CMN in realtime and as CMN one can play APOS the same way: pausing, cover arcs, defence, the whole package. But indeed different than CMN, but I also don't eat beans every day ;-)

Used other mods concerning colors? Your screenshots has a more realistic coloring compared to mine....

Tactic manual in English is made available yesterday for APOS. Like both games buth the huge maps in APOS contribute to the 'real feeling', recon and suprise are what they mean to be. No direct contact but probing/ flanking. Only downside for me in APOS is that after a while it all feels the same compared to CMN.
