  1. I enjoyed this one a lot, nice street fighting and quite a few nasty surprises. The blast command is really usefull here, to bypass the lethal streets. Thank you.
  2. Also for me it makes it much better on a 8800gts. Hope bfc can fix whatever problem it is, its irritating that with cpu and video power to play crisis and other gfx powerhouses, cmsf plays along sloooowwwww.
  3. Yay, will check this out ASAP, love small style engagements, plus it has clint, how can you go wrong with that
  4. In game "file" manager, to get rid of unwanted/bad scenarios, make them tag-able to select good mp ones, or instant action, or large etc etc. Ammo sharing, still have squads next to each other, one twiddling thumbs without ammo, the other engaging the enemy.

  7. Mission 5 had a bug for me, finally defeated everything, but didnt get the CW factory points, no enemy left alive there. Not sure where you have to be to trigger the points. And same for the scud site, didnt get the points there either, altough I did touch it the green mark, rode around on it, jumped on it, everything, it didnt trigger for me. So I got minor defeat arggghhh.. All in all very nice campaign so far, but this seems to be a show stopper.
  8. Enjoyed it, major carnage and lots of surprises. The airpower is in fact needed in this mission, so getting people in place to guide them is crucial. Played it on RT vet 107, no problems for me. One thing that struck me is that some bradleys appear boarded with blind and deaf soldiers, as in cant spot nothing, while others apparently have superman sight and hearing and can chew alone through rows of enemies. Might be related to the crew getting bonuses didn’t check that. Overall, nice for a good dose of instant action, I will replay this.
  9. Really enjoyed this one, short and sweet. I had an almost invincible bradley clean up 60% of the enemy, the new ELOS system really helps. Plus tons of rpg missed their target, which looked realistic. In the end it was quite easy the 1st time on RT veteran (1.07), Ill replay it to see if it was just luck. Thanks for the scenario.
  10. Played it on veteran, RT blue side. It was a blast quite literally spoilers: Very intense, my 1st abrahams ran out of ammo, and I thought now what... Luckily the reinforcements came and I could mop up everything from that point on. Though I got a total victory by wiping them out, I didn’t get any point for holding the village, although no Syrian unit was alive. If the Syrian tanks go into the village and are destroyed they still score points?
  11. Played this yesterday, but somehow this map brings my system (2gig, dual core 6600, 8800gts) to a crawl (it plays crysis and other resource heavy games happily ever after). Constant redrawing and pauses of more than seconds. Ill try to tweak around, but as nice as it looks, unplayable for me. Hopefully bf will finally adress the gfx issues now...one can only hope
  12. Just spend 3 hours straight playing varies scenarios. Really incredible difference, somehow Im doing much better and it just feels sooo much more natural and real, congratulations BF! Now on to more challenging stuff, hammertime here I come...
  13. Really enjoyed your AAR, funny, informative and indeed makes me want to replay the scenario. It was a pleasure to read, well done.
  14. skin files look beautiful, but how to install them? can you provide some instructions on this please?
  15. Great scenario, just finished playing on veteran and got total us victory. Nice surprises and enough hard and software to play with. I didnt use air or artillery assets. Finally had to use blast commands and they worked perfect. Highly recommended if you like urban fighting.
  16. Nice map and quite different than previous ones I played. I noticed some odd things, perhaps as a result of it not being finished? Quite a few parts have orchards in it (or something similar), I could not drive to a spot in there using any vehicle, including tanks. However they did drive through them as I told them to move to a spot at the other end of the orchard (this happened at the middle observation tower). Not sure if this is a CMSF bug or this map. Moreover, I couldn’t get a finish, even after time ran out. I tried cease fire, but nothing happened. In the end I just quit. Not sure why this one was baked. Overall I really liked the layout with a lot of vertical differences. Enough hardware to play with and quite challenging. I hope you finish it!
  17. I had a SF squad reduced to 2 men (from 6 or something, see scenario punitive expedetion) and they were still able to do the assault move, one "overwatched" the other. So it seems hard coded that a group of 4 cant, and a group of 6 reduced to 2 still can. seems like a bug to me.
  18. I like these small setups and the story with it really helps for me. I had a minor defeat the first time, however strange things happened, probably bugs. Most of the squads didnt fire rounds even when directed to specifically fire at an enemy squad. Distance was about 400-600m but they should be able to at least engage that, I think. They were simply spotting, and spotting, while the clearly already had identified the enemy squad as it was targetable. When I brought them closer to the action they did a token effort but nothing lethal or full force. Not sure if its this specific scenario or bugs.
  19. I also enjoyed this scenario, got beaten with 2 man remaining. You should consider renaming it to Kobayashi Maru SPOILERS But with so many units, especially tanks there are simply not enough anti tank atgms/javs to take em out. The infantry can be dealt with, but the tanks and bmps after taking a beating with the initial wave of javs simply are too powerfull. I also had 2 T72 mark2000 or something that were not destroyable, probably a bug, but the did soak up about 4 javs each without a scratch. Perhaps some AH64 support to throw in the mayhem would be nice. Mind you it was a enjoyable experience in the end
  20. yup had that a couple of times, mostly with vehicles on the edge of maps.
  21. very tough one for me, I took it slow and used the tank alot still major defeat in the end (thanks to scoring). Ill give it another try later.
  22. Very nice scenario, I like these kind of setups, small and quick thinking. I got a total victory on my first try but that was kinda lucky Indeed those javs are kinda cheesy, thanks for scenario.
  23. I can confirm this, dedicated squads DO pickup/use the man crewed RPGs (syrian AT14?), "normal" squads equiped with a RPG do NOT pickup the RPGs once the initial carrier is shot. Indeed an RPG apparantly puts a huge bullseye on the carrier. As the shoulder fired RPGs are quite basic I dont understand why other soldiers from the same squad dont pick it up. Its a quite potent weapon to have for the syrians. On another note, in my experience, if you have two squads of US soldiers, one equiped with only the launcher (after having used all the javelins) they will not get javelins from a second squad, in which the javelin launcher guy was shot, and the javelin is missing from the squad. I would assume that they will share. I was quite frustated having to face 5 BMPs with one squad having javelin missles, but no launcher and the other with the launcher and no missles, nothing happened (except me dying..)
  24. Replayed 1.02 and the new behaviour is perfect. Indeed putting a lot of pressure on your small group, it was quite exciting. Managed the new version by the finger nails. SPOILER . . . . . . . . . . Was quite surprised by the movement of the BMPs, I had one targetted for airstrike. I didnt notice it started moving again and lost eye contact with it. Next thing I know, the BMP pulling up besides the JTAC team, and 1 sec later hit by a F15 bomb... JTAC survived barely, the BMP did not Good lesson for me, that moving vehicles which are targetted for airstrikes can become quite dangerous once close...
