  1. I think it's just that grapes are on rocky/rough terrain, so you get the same penalty. Don't quote me on that, it's just how I have experienced it. Alt-b is one of my favorites too. I think the jump in improvements is the greatest with this release!
  2. I have an ancient 1 and a half year old G2 phone...will it work?
  3. There's a ton more that were on other peoples lists too. Movable waypoints and the map overlay were in my short list. They have really been busting their balls getting this stuff to work.
  4. I think you may be looking at violating some part of the user agreement you agree to when installing the game. If you want to talk business, you'll need to contact Steve.
  5. I love the game, the community, and the developers. Been around so long it feels a bit like home. I have those special moments all the time. I'm still seeing things that just tip a scenario toward being a great story instead of just being a game. I play as if it's real. I can almost hear the salty old sarge yelling at, uh, motivating his guys. It sorta feeds my lust for glory.
  6. I just finished it a week or so ago, dammit! I guess I have no choice but to play it again.
  7. So you didn't know that Chuck Norris was modeled in the game?
  8. I've noticed during setup that if you FACE multiple times in the same direction, their configuration will change, so you can keep using FACE until they are the way you want.
  9. I just finished The Road to Montebourg (again) with a tactical victory. It's pretty damn tough already, so I'm glad you are adding air support on a couple missions to even it out a bit.
  10. Damn kids! Get off my grass mod! They are watching. They have heard your cries. They are working their butts off to bring you guys a lot of good stuff.
  11. What I usually do in the situation where I need to "manually" clear out some woods is to line up several squads (hopefully available) and "Hunt" forward. Make sure they are somewhat spread out. Once an enemy unit is spotted, try to open fire on that unit and/or use area fire to try to pin them down. Then try to flank them with your other squads. If they run into another enemy unit, try to pin them down as well. Keep trying to flank with any units you have available, but if you can't for whatever reason, you can try to disengage one of your squads, drop back, and move up behind your squad that is still engaged. Bring the moving squad up adjacent to the engaged squad and try to move up on the (hopefully) pinned enemy, targeting while moving. If you can get within grenade range, your men moving closer should be able to take them down using grenades and gunfire. If you are not able to pin down an enemy squad or are pinned down yourself, use any available squad to toss smoke and/or shoot at the enemy until your other squad is un-pinned and can drop back. Don't be afraid to drop back to reposition your squads for another whack at it. Basically, you never want to do this with one squad unless you are confident you can win with brute force, which is tough to do if you're going up against a German unit with an MG. More often than not, you'll be the one who is pinned. One more tip is that you can fire into the woods where you think an enemy unit may be even though you cannot see them. You just might pin them down long enough for your flanking squad to bring the pain.
  12. Nope. A lot of us are still labelled as "Senior Member". I've been beta testing since right after CM:USMC.
  13. You guessed it! It's a port to the X-Box 360 Kinect. You're going to have to dance your way through Omaha Beach!
  14. Great conversation! I've been playing since day one and been a beta tester since the modern British forces module and you guys have me rethinking my grenade usage and mout tactics.
  15. Cool! The small unit stuff makes the CM experience more intimate and makes me care about every guy. Can't wait!
  16. I honestly dont remember if there were multiple ai plans. I wanted to try making the other decisions. You can ask FMB though.
  17. That if a great campaign. I've played it 3 times or so. When you're ready for another, check out The Outlaws. It's also based on a small airborne unit. Good stuff!
  18. Lol! Actually, I'm using my "smart" phone, and using Swype. So I guess the letters of "spoked" are near the letters for "allied". I meant "allied tanks"! Makes a bit more sense that way. Sorry for not editing.
  19. Welcome! You have landed in the right place! There are a tin of great people here. I agree with Sergei on just about everything, but would like to add a couple thoughts. 2) I prefer real time play, just because I can micromanage my forces and pause when I want. I do miss out on the replays though. 3) I've found that the British infantry is not going to win in a face to face match with the germans. You have to be really cautious and really sneaky. You should maneuver into position while out if the line of fire and try to bring several sections to position to fire on a single german squad. Gang up on them. Also, you want to use smoke and artillery to max effect. Smoke really helps when you need to maneuver. You need to be the same way when using spoked tanks. You've got to be sneaky, dont go head to head.
  20. I would highly recommend some sound mods like what akd supplies. Also, get Juju's interface and veins explosions and tracers. I love all those.
