  1. Im unhappy with the current system of sharing ammunition for small arms.

If i have a group of infantery into a building with no ammunition left, they must leaving it and go into the next IFV, truck or something to grab ammunition and go back into the building again.

My idea is that if i drive a vehicle that has suitable ammunition next (actionspot) to the building, the trench or whatever, the infantery resupplys themselves without running around and boarding. It should just be abstract.

I think in real life maybe one or two guys will go to grab new ammunition for the hole group.

Or if another group with enough ammunition is in the same building (trench, actionspot ect.) they could share it too.

To manage the resupply with ammunition for two or more groups is to much micromanagement at the moment.

What do you think about this ?

  2. --------------------------Possible SPOILER's--------------------------

Wow, great scenario Paper Tiger (like always) !

Those Syrian Airborne guys are stubbornly fighters...

I would say i hate the AGS-17...they are responsible for nearly all of my casualties (4 KIA, 11 WIA).

It was the first time playing CMSF that i came under enemy artillery fire.

Nice idea with the minefields too !

For my taste, the syrians have a bit too much armor standing still the hole time (sure, you can beat them with CAS). Less but more active bmps and tanks would be great.

  3. After doing some tests i think there is something wrong with fast/quick.

I have two sniper teams, one gets the order to move FAST to a point 50m away.

The other one gets a QUICK order.

The FAST team arrives 2 sec. ahead of the QUICK team but is out of breath. The QUICK guys are not even sweating...

I think FAST should be nearly double as fast as QUICK, FAST should be a "run or die" command.

  4. Consulting 'real' soldiers on this topic, they've replied "A 500m jog? Sure, no problem". I'll have to take their word for it. I guess that's the difference between 'healthy' people and those of us who spend all our time playing computer games :Dspare

Yeah, i know soldiers who jog 25km with 10kg in the backpack and a 6kg rifle in the hands...

  5. I've seen youtube footage of just that. I guess if he's in a high-pressure environment he would but if he had a chance to go and have a cup of tea and a ciggy he'd take it.

I saw something too on TV.

It was about a insurgency sniper in iraq who shot US Soldiers and recording it.

One of the soldiers fell down by the power of the impact but was still alive.

He got a massive chest bruise

EDIT: Found the Video on Youtube, watch from 1.05

  6. Now, lets say a guy wearing the standard U.S (UK) Body armor gets hit by a 5.45x39mm round in the chest, lest say the distance is 200m.

    What would happen ?

I think the bullet will not kill the guy, but is he still able to fight ?

Would there be a massive bruise ?

    And what about a 7.62x39mm round at 200m...or a 5.45x39mm at 100m ?

You always read something like "not deadly", but i would like to know if you can continue fighting after get hit.

  7. Going back to the G36 and M4 thing..I've fired both. I just dont understand that HUGE handle on top of the rifle. Thats what makes it bulky.

I think the G36C is pretty damn sexy though. Put an ACOG on that thing, and you've got an Army officer SOLD!

BTW. STEVE - can I get the 'LT' changed to 'CPT' ? Been a captain for a few months now.

...but that thing is good to carry the rifle.

Im totaly happy with the G36, just a accurate and solid weapon !
