  1. Hello Saber66,

Interested in playing CMBN, FI, or RT, up to Reinforced Company, Meeting, QB's.

I also use Dropbox for Game File exchanges, and can do 1-2 turns daily.

    Joe

  2. Hello All, I'm a middling player in CET (Germany) with BN /FI / RT / BS and most of the applicable packs....as well as all older CM titles (CMSF and all but NATO) and CM1-3 etc. I can turn a few turns around a day at a minimum...perhaps one in the AM and one when i get home in the evening...or more if TZ is not an issue and scheds are similar i guess. If anyone is interested or needs another punching bag by all means drop me a PM with the preferred playing field. Looking forward to joining the fray... MC
  3. Hello all, For everyones situational awareness....the latest drivers associated with the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650 graphics card, released in mid-August 09, DO NOT work with CMSF and the modules. The game will likely crash and freeze up anywhere from 10 minutes to 25 minutes (the longest i managed) into any given scenario. My system specs were listed above should anyone need to compare notes. Thanks for all the advice here just the same. Regards, Michael
  4. Ok well, thanks Schrullenhaft, that that then...looks like ill have to revive an old box/laptop for BF stuff then...not the best solution but infinitely better then dorking around trying to fix what i cant really understand! Very tedious these card issues...well and Windows issues in general....thanks again. Regards, Michael
  5. Hi Taki, Im a middling CM player, mostly involved in the meta campaigns and such (in other words, no ladder or tourny play for me). I would be interested in playing a PBEM if you like...any of the CM series is fine with me. Im in Germany as well...which im not sure is good or bad, sometime in PBEM if the other person is on the other side of the world, they are doing a turn while your sleeping and vice versa :-)....anyway, drop me a line if you like and let me know what you'd like to attempt. Regards, Michael SABER66
  6. Almost forgot.... MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE! LOL.... regards, Michael
  7. Gentlemen, Can one of you walk me thru this process please. I am not a total ludite but i am getting mighty frustrated trying to install a catalyst driver in order to facilitate a fix for Win7. I have the same issue as Crazytankdriver. I have downloaded the latest package from ATI...lookes like 9.12 but it does not seem to want to update or load anything but the ATI control panel. Win7 proactive bugger that it is, is telling me its already up to date...quite frankly, i cant even see the driver in the ATI folder. Any help you guys could provide would be greatly appreciated. System specs are as follows if anyone is interested. SONY VAIO VGN FW-550F INTEL CORE DUO P8700 2.53 Mhz, Windows 7 HOME PREMIUM Version 6.1.7600 Build 7600 ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650 (Microsoft Corporation WDDM 1.1) Adapter RAM 1.00 GB (1,073,741,824 bytes) Installed Drivers atidxx32,atidxx64.dll,atiumdag,atiumdva,atiumd64.dll,atiumd6a.cap,atitmm64.dll Driver Version: 8.56.1.15 location etc: Driver c:\windows\system32\drivers\atikmdag.sys (8.1.1.859, 4.79 MB (5,020,672 bytes), 7/13/2009 11:59 PM) It looks like a 32bit driver on a 64 bit system...not sure im tracking on this, my system appears to be 64bit system with a whole lot of 32 bit software looks almost like parallel environments...all way beyond my pay grade im afraid. Let me know what ya think. Im having the same crashing issues...at approximately the 10 minute mark..it freezes and stops working. No error message provided. Regards, Michael
  8. Greetings ALL OK so am i to understand that the ATI 9.10 drivers clear up the crashing issue. My card, and 1GB ATI HD 4650 was seldom mentioned in the thread. Wasnt sure anyone else was having this issue. I am running Win7 x64 I think....the damn thing has windows x32 AND x64 folders so i was getting a bit confused, most of the installed drivers seem to be 32bit??? Any informed confirmation will induce a Pavlovian dog-like response and send me searching for the proper ATI download page and hopefully, near term CMSF BF bliss! Regards, MC
  9. Hi folks, I recently purchased a new Sony laptop with Win7 loaded and 1GB ATI card. I loaded CMSF from CD...licensed it, patched it to 1.10 then loaded CMSF Marines and BF bundle. All liecensed easily and will open without problem....the pain comes approximately 10-12 minutes into the BF campaign. The program locks up and is forced to exit. I am in the process of running marines, and CMSF to see if the same happens...not sure yet. I will also throw all back onto my older less capable XP laptop and see if the problem persists....just for testing purposes. If anyone has any advice on how to fix this issue, it would be much appreciated. Machine specs are as follows... 1GB ATI Radeon HD4650 Windows 7 Home premium 6.1.7600 build 7600 Intel Core Duo P8700 @ 2.53Mhz 4Gb of RAM Regards, MC
  10. ALCON, Just back from the sandbox....this thing still rolling? Any room left....im not picky, will take a tranportation battalion if necessary! I am new to the campaigns....though not to the game. Please advise. MC
  11. rlg85, Amen brother, Well said....i propose a swap with any impatient soul whose looking for a little "combat action!" FOR RENT: a nice litle hooch downrange (with AC and internet, thank the lord, lest my refresh monkey go unemployed) where they can check LOS to town, and maybe even see how well the new and improved RPG and IDF smoke effects look vice the REAL THING! Respectfully from the "box"
  12. Hats off to ya Splinty....I'm up North! So stop playin "whack a mole" down there...geez, the idiots are comin' up here! And yes its HOT...like don't even bother with the t-meter HOT...but its never too HOT for coffee...
  13. Bastard! LOL...i'm not that wired into my gaming anymore...i've seen ya post on some of the other threads..but BLUF...whats your impression? By TOW deployment issues, i gather the "hammer's" got a bug and wont deploy....geez, sounds like the real thing! Yeah...was with them at Ft Bliss in the early 90's...then got outta the turret and into the "2 shop" and well...the rest is just an interesting story i'll put to paper one day... I see you've a low "draft" number...you've been at this awhile, i guess...me im hopin to ramp up my gaming when i get back to Europe...have ya partaken in the CMMC's at all?
  14. MAJ G, Cool, I "WAS" a light/wheeled guy (HUMMER) for a bit, and a "HEAVY" guy (M1A1) in various CAV and AR units (3ACR etc)...i've got a more "subtle" job now...though in principle...very similar to a scouts formost function...think...Kipling! Enough said for this venue.... Cheers and hopefully happy downloads before you nod off....(well that wouldnt be bad, dreamin' about dropping FASCAM or something similarly spectacular on Syrian Forward Security Element
  15. Splinty, sounds like your in my neighborhood....pull up a chair...a cold turkish bottled water, and await the downloading festivities....its kinda fun to read where peoples heads are at sometimes...im just looking for "alot" of distraction....and CM always delivers!
