  1. Hello alan123, thanks a lot for the reply. I was thinking of the same culprit, to be honest. Hopefully both data and access will be restored quite soon. SG
  2. Just a quick question : when going to the home page of BF I cannot find the "repository" anymore whereas I used to get it under "Community". Could someone help me find what I am missing here ? Thanks in advance.
  3. Hi MCB, I had exactly the same problem as you, with a sole disabled resisting tank preventing me to finish the mission. Finally, after having pumped a lot of ammo into it to no avail with my tanks and troops quite close to it, I somehow moved them away, maybe to comb the rest of the map (cannot remember). With my pixel soldiers moving away from him the remaining French tanker apparently decided it was safe enough for him to leave the tank.. that thus became unmanned... triggering the victory. Came as a surprise but I was happy enough with it. So it could maybe be useful to place your soldiers in such a position that the remaining crew may panic but still has a free line of escape to leave the tank, i.e. not surround it completely.
  4. Hail to you, Gnasher, for the campaign and the ongoing effort. And full support as to remembering what the British did and that encompasses the full shebang, from September '39 to September '45. There are some around here - that means France - who do not forget ; maybe too few, sadly.
  5. Same here : no joy with IE8. Had a try with Mozilla and got through.
  6. Same for me. Tried yesterday and got the same error.
  7. Ahhh... Just mailed BF directly because I had the same query. Pity I did not look at the posts on the board beforehand.
  8. Regarding this issue, common to a lot of games, would turning off the User Account Control function in Vista be a permanent solution ? I know de-activating UAC is not advised but as the single user of a computer protected by the whole batch of anti-virus, anti-spyware, anti-younameit softwares, constantly upgraded, I am ready to take the risk...
  9. Leider ist die Lage so, dass eine deutsche Version heute nicht programmiert ist. Antwort auch für andere Sprache gültig, wie französisch zB.
  10. Yes indeed. 1.3.2 alone does not bring you anywhere, it is just an upgrade.
  11. As a matter of fact, as Arzok shows in his missions, a lot can be achieved through a thorough conception by mission builders. Playing his missions in his campaign and discussing with him led me to view AI and its limitation with new eyes. For instance, the usual habit of AI units to fight to the last man while real units would tend to withdraw once cut off to re-establish their lines unless ordered otherwise (and even so...) has always been the main snag to me. I now understand that the mission builder can provide for that, defining zones that, when controlled by the enemy will trigger a fall-back. Of course all of this is wayyyyy more tedious to do than a mere positioning of troops.

    Demo

Quick question on the improvements : is the infantry now able to jump above small walls and fences and to crawl under fences ? Besides, I did not download the demo nor will get the english language one... but will sure buy the game as soon as it gets available. So, thanks for all.
  13. OK, many thanks for the confirmation. I'll live with that.
  14. Hi everyone, Talking about this smoke mod... I just installed it through Jonesoft Mod Enabler. When I load a previously saved game I get the infamous "runtime error # 3" that, I understand, is linked to graphic changes like drivers update, etc. When I load a saved game with no fighting, like for example the intermediary stage in a campaign (rewarding or choice of units), everything runs perfect. Perfect as well is the launch of a new battle. The above leads me to think that the runtime error is generated by the game trying to restore visual elements (effects for example), stored as parts of the "save game", different to the ones currently set up with the smoke mod enabled. Does this conclusion makes sense ? Thanks in advance or your views.
