  1. I reckon that BFC ( rightly so ) have pulled a strategic maneuver and decided to leave the patch till the end of november.

The theory being that if we get the patch around then (and its a substantial patch) we would all be happy untill past chrimbo and that would mean they could have a (relativley) easy holiday.

Anybody got any thoughts on this id love to hear them smile.gif

Who exactly declared shock force beyond help?

Yes it has problems, bit ones even, but if anybody would go to the effort of fixing it BFC will.

People need to show battlefront that providing the game is made servicable that we are still thier loyal customers and, more importantly, thier fans.

  3. I realy hope that Delem is corect! when this game plays with out showing you any of its bad flaws (we all know what they are) its AMAZING.

The graphics are so sweet im thinking of ditching my missus!

The joy of the firefight is 5 times what it was for the cmx1 games (and 5 times as deadly)

The tactics required of us are imeasurably different from ww2 games. Surely we become better armchair generals by diversity in the games we play and hence the tactics and strategies we learn.

I am praying every day that shock force gets at least two modules and the patches that would come with them!

  4. i know, but what they going to do? totaly drop all the things theyve told us they were going to do, write shock force of as a loss and move on to cmx2 ww2.

How much would the comunity like that?

As far as i can see it all they can do is work thier ass's off to make cmsf what it should be.

Just my two pence worth tho.

Id like to add that i also believe that if anyone can overcome these obstacles its bfc, they obviously love what they do ( if not WHO they do it for :D )

  5. Thats a cool diagram, in practise i would expect a pilot (in a strafing attack) to fire 6 rockets, miss the first two, hit with the second two, and miss with the last two. Or something along those lines.

If the pilot lined up, and ripled them off as he flew towards the target that would reduce the Yaw from the rockets leaving the rails. And of course, i imagine he would get a lot closer than 2000 meters.

Also, in a lot of the videos we've seen, the helo attacked with two weapons in a pass, hosing with the chain gun in the early stage of the attack and finishing with one or two rockets as a parting shot. Is that something we could see in the game?

  6. End of the day the apache (especialy in its newest iteration) is a multi million pound attack platform, designed during the cold war to operate in high threat invironments, day or nigh, and to deliver its payload against (presumably moving) high value armoured targets.

I think that would mean that an apache is capable of delivering the majority of its payload into a 50 or 100 meter square or even a single reasonably sized building (im not saying it would necessarily target the right building)

  7. You want videos, ok

This one you can actualy see the helo twisting left and right as the rockets leave the tubes, hes targeting a moving truck!

not all shots in this vid are rockets but the ones that are you can see how tight the group is compared to CM:SF

now the last one is a little fuzzy but you can see cannon bursts and rockets coming in within a very tight area.

    That enough for you

  8. I agree with rollstoy, the game mechanics are new to us and when we ask questions and need genuine answers we dont get them.

I am curious about one thing, we have heard "i think we should wait for the next patch" kind of coments since release, how long are people going to keep hopeing the next patch fixes things?

( I for one am a sucker for a good wargame and will anticipate "that next pacth" untill they are onto the ww2 release )
