  1. Yes, Artillery on map would be highly unrealistic and the idea of mortar groups on screen has already been talked over very much... What would be nice for an add on would be a 17pdr and an 88mm flack gun for the early German campaigns
  2. Every thing's fine now (I probably should have tried that earlier). Thanks again.
  3. OK, today I installed the Uber patch (yay!) and began the game. I changed the screen resolution to 1440x900 and then tired to begin the Panzer Lehr campaign. However, once I tried to begin a battle, the game shut itself off. I tired other battles, but there's the same outcome. I have windows Vista. Also: whenever I begin the game it asks me if would like to change the screen resolution. This isn't very important, but is slightly annoying. Thanks in advance. Edit: I got the latest video card updates, which has solved the battles problem. Still not sure why it asks if I want to change my screen res though... 4. Yes, it seems to happen a lot more then hull being penetrated... which is odd, because the tanks had massive amounts of armour around the gun, compared to the hull. However, on the Dunkirk mission, I found it easy to knock out the Renault FT17 or ...err ... disable his gun.
  5. I'd like that... Maybe we haven't be given it, b/c the Germans made the tanks in the first place
  6. 1. German 88mm flack & British 17pdr 2. Some aircraft with rockets (Typhoon, IL-2,P-47, etc)/anti-tank guns (Stuka, Ju-88 with 88mm,Hs 129, etc) 3. An option for you and the enemy to retreat from hopeless battles.
  7. I'd like to trade in my air-ground attack calls for a Star Destroyer planetary bombardment, please. And can I have Darth Vader to come with me onto the battlefield? Thx.
  8. That was a marvelous video. Really amazing! To much for words to describe, as was your invasion of Poland video. I'm curious as to where you got the Stuka action though. Same with the He111's in your invasion of Poland video. Were they from ToW, some other game, or a mix?
  9. I think that the browns, reds, and beige colours go well with the general colours of the game. A bright green or blue would sort of ruin the style.
  10. Yeah, same with me. First I was like WOW!!!!! This is AWESOME!!! Then I got beaten a few times, got annoyed and started thinking of all the game's bad bits. Soon I tried it again; now I think it's awesome again.
  11. I've noticed that too... I have to admit, when I tell my tanks to shoot a spot where I know there's an AT gun, I look for the dead bodies as a sign to stop shooting.
  12. Oh, and an Italian fraction could be added also, but that may be too much to ask for.
  13. If an expansion with two desert campaigns, one British & one German, was made I would buy it. Being English forces, struggling to hold off a German attack until reinforcements came, would be awesome! Miles of desert with nothing to block LoS or LoF, yay! And perhaps some Tunisian street battles!
  14. Yeah, but it was really cool to watch!
  15. Although the PzIV ausf. C did have a 75mm gun, because of its extremely short barrel it had a very low muzzle velocity and therefor very low armour piercing value. During the early German campaign, they were only used against soft targets. The PzIII , with a longer barreled gun, was used against armour. Really I think neither the early Panzer IV nor Panzer III should be able to pierce the thick T-34 armour; hence the reason Germany designed the Panther and Tiger tanks.
  16. Oh yes they were! Granted whole minefields weren't laid but I've read numerous accounts of strings of mines being hastily laid by infantry to ambush tanks, mainly using strings of mines. For example on 22nd Sept 1944 A Company of the Dorset & Cornwall Light Infantry destroyed no less than 5 Tigers using No75 AT mines & PIATs in a hastily setup ambush at the De Hoop cross roads near Dreil in Holland. Pvte Brown of the DCLI lost an eye but gained the Military Medal for personally destroying 2 Tigers. </font>
  17. I'm not complaining, just saying it was stunning.
  18. Rockets!!! We need more rockets!!! Don't know if the game has the Hs 129, but it had great anti-tank success and should be included.
  19. Mines were NEVER laid during a battle, but a mine clearing tank might be useful. Flamethrowers would probably only be used to clear concrete bunkers, so I don't know if we realllllly need a Flamethrower vehicle. It would be great to see one explode though. FOOM! [jet of flame shoots into sky]
  20. Don't forget the 17-pdr! Really the only British gun able to beat the Tiger tanks.
  21. A really funny thing just happened to me: On the Luttich mission in the Liberation of Europe campaign, I lost all my soldiers except for one. Two Panthers, a Hetzer, a Sdkfz 251, and load of German troops were advancing on me. So I got my one soldier into an empty PaK 40, in a vain attempt to hold until reinforcements came. To my surprise my one soldier, who was an unskilled gunner, destroyed both Panthers, the Hetzer, the Sdkfz 251, and most of the infantry! (the battle was set to "normal" skill level) I lost after not getting the reinforcements. [ May 05, 2007, 01:51 PM: Message edited by: terra ]
  22. Along with most of what ColonelBlimp requested, I was wondering if there might be a North African Campaign.
