  1. Your infantry is expendable your tank crews are not.
  2. Same deal as the first one 75mm hidden low behind the trenches. Use the tanks as distractions so your guns can waste the panzers
  3. Polish mission one is all about the gunzzz. You dump your Bofors AT guns and take as many 75mm as you can. You leave the infantry in the first trenchens and the guns on the reverse side of the hills with their turrets poking just over the hills crest. Then its all down to blasting tanks and luck. One that mission on the second try with just 11 men dead no material losses.
  4. The tank movement has not happened to me either. My German tankers allways turn the tank in the direction the incomming threat is comming from. And I find that I usually do not have to give orders at what to shoot they do that right by themselves.
  5. I am between the Fan boy category and ok-boy category. This game is great but it does need some fixing.
  6. The real thing with this battle and any other battles is to use large calliber guns and place them at maximum distance from the enemy. In the 1st Polish mission you get rid of the AT Bofor guns and get as amny 75mm guns you can. Place them on the hills slightly on the reverse slope and blast away. I kept the infantry in the forward trenches to kill the German infantry. The tanketes can be used to bolster the line with limited succes but you spare them untill there are no German tanks left. Then you charge down the hill to for som free kills. On my second try for this mission even the tanketes managed to kill two light tanks. My total losses were 11 infantrymen.
  7. Just follow the Soviet Army style. For the motherland...not a step backwards...and commisars at hand to shoot any bastards who try to take cover.
  8. For me LOS works like this ( and yes it works) hills and slopes block LOS so you send infantry to check wats on the other side and then you gently send your tanks almost to the top of the hill so as only part of your tanks turret is visible to the enemy. So like real life LOS And at those ocasions when something random happens, say like a russian AT-rifle gunner kills your decorated tank ace, you swear some and then raise a toast to a great tactical war game.
  9. I think this is a great game and the skill and the award system after a battle is grand, love those shiny medals. The only real concern I have are the freezups.
  10. I agree with you Starlight. In the 2nd Polish mission one has to stay put in the starting point and kill the two wawes of tanks and infantry. Having at least one 75mm field gun helps Only after this do you try to storm the hill with AT guns and since these are AT guns you do not do it with tanks. You do the storming with infantry and tanks + 75mm gun in support just behind the slope that blocks LOS to the main objective Hill.
  11. Damn you have to love those Panzer IV
  12. Defending is not that problematic, its the assault and then defend that can be a "bit" tricky. The answer in the first Polish mission are the 75mm guns placed somwhere in the back. They can shoot the crapp out of any tanks in that mission. Even two of the reinforcing tanketes managed to blast one tank each. That was a pleasant surprise considering I was playing on realistic, but that means it was realistic )
