I think there are some abstraction in close combat and grenade use; despite the graphical 1:1 representation, this is not a Call Of Duty clone... (sorry for my english)

From my previous experiences with Shock Force: Area Fire with large weapons can cause friendly fire when close; not for small calibers. In some missions at night with snipers, i seen sporadic blue on blue fire from the AI. Not sure about CM:Normandy. Sorry for my english.

Are you sure? I think i've seen just ERA blocks disappear, no tracks or holes...

For your first question, make a wp with some pause and area fire command, then another close wp with aonther area fire (or smoke) command in a different area with some pause and so on. Using of multiple wp with a little pause and different orders (area fire, cover arc ecc..) is useful. (sorry for my english)

You must have LOS in direct fire, or in close contact with a spotter using support button for indirect fire
