  1. It would be nice if there was even a basic board like the CC connector to facilitate some online battles.
  2. After playing the Bulge scenario I noticed the same thing. I carefully moved my troops up on the town only to find not a soul in it left to defend. All the fighting that decided the battle was done at range with big cannons. Adding a little AI to have defenders hide would be a great addition to the game. I did not see one faust the entire campaign from start to end =( By its self the game has its own merits. Some things need to be tweeked, especially concerning infantry, but on the whole the game is entertaining enough for me to ignore my other games for the short term. I hope the designers keep pushing the limit of what can be done with this engine.
  3. Please add this feature. I'm trying to fraps the Bulge battle right now and there is so much stuff happening at opposite ends of the map. By paying attention to a tank battle on one side of the map I missed 2 german squads cresting a hill that had 2 shermans and 2 squads in a reverse slope defensive position laying in wait. All I see left is a field of white uniformed bodies.
  4. I'm on Bulge right now. One of my saved files got corrupted so I had to resort to the one that got saved before it. It would kick me back to desktop when it was done loading.
  5. I've knocked out a panther with captured german anti tank grenades. It charged a trench line that I had 2 squads in. Right before the panther got close I had my guys scrounge for stuff in the trench and found lots of nades and a few anti tank nades. It was dumb and pulled right up to the trench into a position it was surrounded. Later a captured shreck and zooka teamed up to take out a KT.
  6. I tried using what looked like smoke grenades today and they just exploded. Are the canister shaped grenades intended to be smoke grenades? I was trying to cover a cordinated armor/inf assault and just got some explosions. :confused:
  7. Thanks for the grenade tips. I shall try them next time before I charge a town. I figured out that choosing the bazooka and the ammo and then targeting armor is much better than letting them decide on thier own. Micro managing is the key. Pausing the game right when you start and issuing orders is a must. I don't see how multiplayer works, unless you are controlling smaller forces. I love the close up views! I gonna start frapsing some battles to show off the details you may not notice when you are commanding from above. Riding in a tank and moving the camera from side to side provides a great view. Same with following a scout when he is out probing. This game has a hard learning curve. Took me 3 sessions to get the hang of it and I'm a CM CC vet. I'm still discovering more each time I play. Grenade volly incoming to my next game!
  8. Deploy in the far back of your defensive zone and form a skirmish line with your armor. Slowly crawl one squad down the hill in as much cover as possible. Use arty/motars to take out gun hills when you get the orders. Let the enemy armor come to you. Then counter attack through the valley farm to farm. Then take the trench hill. A word on air support. AA in this game is deadly. So call in air support where you think flak would likely be placed. Assign air attack first then wait for flak signs before calling in arty/mortars. If you botch your air support strike placement use arty/mortars againt flak. If your planes get shot down you loose all the air strikes given to you.
  9. I would love a playback recorder. There is too much going on in the battle to see it all happen. It would be nice to review the action in places you missed after the battle is over.
  10. The ability to place troops in hide mode during setup.
  11. 1-Please make mouselook bindable to a mouse key. I prefer to have my right mouse key bound to it. 2-End of battle needs to be more clearly defined or buttons added in giving you the options to withdraw/surrender/call for a truce.
