What works for me is a small troop section with binoculars, and a cover arc, which I do my best to sneak into a covered area with a good field of view. If I am delivering them by vehicle, then of course, you want as best a covered route as you can find.
I find many scenarios don't allow enough time for proper recon to be done, so I may also edit the scenario to add more time. Which is fine if you are playing against the AI. If playing H2H of course your opponent needs to agree to any changes.

This article, while not necessarily encouraging, seems a reasonable account of the current situation.

Here you are. The original article from the New York Times.

As carried by the New York Times. An interesting article.

Apparently Zelensky has some doubts about U.S. intelligence.
-
RT has reported that Russia has removed their embassy staff from Ukraine.

Let's not become sidetracked about Putin and his intellectual ability. Let's stay focused on the Ukraine and the possible repercussions of the current situation.

It seems to me it might be an opportunity for Russia to have a clearer idea of where other countries stand in regards to any future Russian incursion into Ukraine.
I have no doubt that much is happening that those outside Government and Diplomactic circles are not privy to.
Consider the length of time Russian forces have been out in the field. It is cold and damp. That can undermine the efficiency and morale of troops, and can be hard on machinery.

So I purchase this POS for $60 and open it and the text in the game selections (units, nationality, etc) is so small I cannot read it. It looks like something I would have seen back in 1990. I could be looking at DOS and it would be more legible. Then I finally find the training scenario (same thing -- screen text is miniscule), I open it up and the scene opens onto a forest view, but the view is rotating and rotating. Moving the cursor is fruitless, it has no impact on stopping the rotation. The little compass up in the right corner is rotating and rotating. I give up, if I wanted to go through the hassle of trying to get PayPal to refund my money I would definitely throw this one back. Ugliest POS I havebattlefrontPOS.docx ever seen.
You would have been further ahead to calmly ask for help. There are many friendly and helpful players here who would have responded. Do you really think Battlefront would still be in business if everyone who bought the game experienced the same difficulties as you have? Grow up, cultivate some patience and manners. Your life will be easier.

There is also a non-bridge land connection to the Crimea.
And the water crisis on Crimea which could be solved with the same land bridge.
Excellent point.

Interesting read, but TBH it doesn't sound like they think that the probability of an invasion is very high.
As I recall, there was no expectation of Russia moving into Crimea either. As the article says, the expected areas of interest to the Russians would be those with large ethnically Russian populations such as the Donbas(s).

FORECAST SERIES: Putin’s Likely Course of Action in Ukraine.
This was written this past December. Forum members will probably find it interesting.

Please, less discord about discord...................I know, but I couldn't resist.

I would prefer "Legions of the Grinch"........ featuring Santa and his Elves fighting the Green Grinch hordes.
-
Nationalistic B.S. Propaganda.................all 3.
The worst being the American one. Lets use cartoons and touch base with as many popular cliches as possible.

I don't understand why many of those features are not available to the regular players.
I understand why the first, and last four items would be restricted, but why don't we have the others.
There is nothing secretive about the rest. I wonder does this mean we will never see those features available to regular players?

PBEM means Play BY E Mail. It is not as straight forward as that. You have different skill levels, house rules, mods not compatible, systems which can't handle the files etc. Then you need a Dropbox account for some reason. The hardest I think is to find an opponent who plays on your wavelength. I am not holding my breath.
Actually it is very straight forward. You both agree on a scenario, the difficulty setting, then you play your turn and email the file to your opponent. They play their move and return it. I always have PBEMs on the go, and have had for many years..................without any difficulty or problems. As Erwin points out, there is no need for a dropbox account unless you are playing very large scenarios.

OK, so we know there are problems.....................what to do about them?

An interesting article. Thank you for posting it.

Poor time management doesn't change the fact that PBEM is an antiquated and outdated system. That's all. Have fun.

I couldn't care less what you think. I wonder who made you an expert? PBEM is a choice people sometimes make because it suits them........................if you don't like it, don't use it.
