  1. Are there SF teams available for CMSF+Marines? I'm creating new custom missions, and i'm wondering where the special units are? Are there any Afghanistan maps available? I'm missing SF Teams : Special Forces like commandos with equipment like SOFLAM (Laser Acquisition Marker) For a game like this, modeling modern conflict, special units are must. Maybe there are mods laying around which i overlooked, if there are please point them out. Are there cool mod sites somewhere on the internet with extra land, sea and air equipment? Thank you for the help.
  2. That's not necessary with us because your license key is on file, and if you lose yours, you email elicense@battlefront.com and we dig out the info for you (provided you bought from us of course and not a third party). We're doing this several times every day for our customers. Martin </font>
  3. Regarding eLicense, or any other online activation scheme. I think online activation is bad, I'm playing multiple online games that require those schemes, and I'm getting pretty annoyed by the fact that my list of login credentials keeps growing and growing, if i loose the list I'm fracked, because I'm sure no publisher will help out by giving new credentials, they will rather push me to buy a new copy of the game. If you don't believe this, Google for this subject and enjoy, EA, Valve anyone, and these are just the big ones. I prefer the good old way on installing games off line, with no online requirement/dependency to make it function. And "Star force" protection, i use a "windows xp 64 bit" operating system, "star force" really is a pain on that architecture, most of the time games with this protection don't work, or display random crashes, game aborts and protection errors. Anyway, I'm dying to get my copy of CM:SF, according to the spec's and screen shot's it's going to be a classic (and it will have down to earth system requirements, unlike "Armed Assault", which is a disaster). Again my login credential list will expand. Ohh, the horror, the horror the horror.... Oh, I'm a person who buys games, and don't fiddle with pirated software. If you don't like to pay for it, don't use it! Sheers
  4. Dear developers, When i play dropteam linux edition, when the fighting gets intence (e.g. more trees/gras/buildings/units on battlefield, the mouse tends to respond irregular slowing down while moving. Also smoke effects have a effect of reducing the framerate to subnormal. Al of the above result in less than 25 frames it feels and shows. Any tips or hints as to improve performance of Dropteam are welcomed. My system is fast enough, gentoo x86_64 configuration: --- CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4800+ CPU GHz: 2.41 Memory (MB): 2012 Video Card Manufacturer: NVIDIA Corporation Type: GeForce 6600/PCI/SSE2 Video RAM (MB): 256 AGP Mem Available (MB): 508 Driver Version: 2.0.2 NVIDIA 87.74 Sound Card Name: NVidia CK804 with ALC850 at 0xda003000, irq 22 Driver: ALSA Version 1.0.11 System Information Kernel: 2.6.17-gentoo-r8 X Version: Xorg Version 7.1.1 Distribution: Gentoo Base System version 1.12.5 --- The windows version is a bit faster, but i don't run windows on my system anymore . I upgraded to 1.1.8.
  5. Hello, Aha, good to hear there are fellow multiplayers uot there. Indeed a central place with people and servers listed would be nice. Cheers, hope meeting one of you guys soon in battle. Stainless
  6. When i tried to run my fresh installment of Dropteam it didn't start, instead reported an error by windows. I got it working with these settings below. Do this as user "Administrator" or another with high enough priveleges. Go to: "Control Panel -> System -> Advanced -> Settings -> Data Execution Prevention" 1) Data Execution Prevention (DEP) is on. Add the following rules to the DEP list: C:\Program Files (x86)\Games\Battlefront\DropTeam\DropTeam.exe C:\Program Files (x86)\Games\Battlefront\DropTeam\Update.exe C:\Program Files (x86)\Games\Battlefront\DropTeam\UpdateCmd.exe C:\Program Files (x86)\Games\Battlefront\DropTeam\bin\DropTeam.exe C:\Program Files (x86)\Games\Battlefront\DropTeam\bin\DropTeamP4Release.exe C:\Program Files (x86)\Games\Battlefront\DropTeam\bin\XCrashReport.exe C:\WINDOWS\Runservice.exe The last rule "Runservice.exe", is a program running as an service, in order for this to work it has to be started. Be use to check if it has started. Go to: "Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services" to check this, it's called "LicCtrl Service". 2) Although i'm normally doing my normal windows stuff working with limited user rights, this game wil somehow not start with these limited rights. Solution is to use the "Runas" option, so it can run as user "Administrator". You have to supply the Administrator password though. My 2 cents. Cheers and good luck, Stainless. PS: DropTeam Linux version works perfect with latest Gentoo 2006.1 amd64 installment.
  7. Hello, Are there more multiplayer servers online? I only see 1, and that one is mostly empty. When do you people play online? I'm in for a play in the weekends. Hope to hear form fellow multiplayers . I have GMT+1 timezone. Cheers, Stainless
