I would add to this discussion that if you are going to have a "more deadly" option then skills should have a fixed price that dont change as you earn one. The reason "escape death" has any validation is purely based on the fact that if you want to have a pilot with a decent list of skills you have to last forever to get anywhere near them.

Im on a roll... I managed to find the email I got when I bought the game and from there it was easy to re-download the game. I got it all up and running and have my full roster of experienced pilots but it wont allow me to update their pictures with the ones I used before. Any ideas how to sort this as I get an error whenever I try to. SilentAce. (And no I dont think I can solve this one )

Ok ignore my last post this old fart managed to work it out. I do though have another query. I have this game on the older of my 2 machines and wondered how I go about putting on my newer machine. Although it was a long time ago I am fairly sure I purchased the full monty for the game and wondered if there was a link I could go to that would let me download the install to my new machine. Yo Matt, Been a fair while since I last played DIF but as I have been at a loose end last few days I decided to have a fly. I cannot of course connect to the server and your above info makes as much sense as chinese would to me. Hi Rich when I first tried the demo I to had the flickering screen you mentioned and once I installed 1.1 the problem stopped. SA

Well not sure if posting here will get noticed as last post was a couple of months ago but seems silly to open a new thread. This game is great but it needs one thing more than it needs new planes or new campaigns to keep it fresh. It needs randomness. I would suggest a button added to the Create Online Game page that would when clicked create a totally random scenario for the element showing. The random addon to the progem would first select the type of mission Dogfight, Intercept or Escort. Then it would in the case of Dogfight decide wether that would be a 1v1 or 2v2 setup. Lastly it would randomly altitude your element so negating that old lets always go very low for +2 cards or whatever floats your boat attitude. Using this idea would mean you would never know what scenario you were going to face till you were actually doing it and it would also mean Intercept mission could be flown as part of the ladder as they would not be something to be abused as they would only have a 1 in 3 chance of happening each time.

Do you advise lots of offline play against the AI before trying campaigns or should I toss aside the swimming aid and dive right into the online campaigns and take my lumps? Also on a more serious note is "being sexy" actually a required asset to being a legendary pilot or would you say "being modest" is a more useful skill??? SA.

Hi, I got the game yesterday and have got to grips with the basics faster than I expected. Not tried any of the online stuff yet. My first question to the experienced player base is this. What would be the first 3 perm skills you go for in the Leader and Wingman role. Also I could troll the website but I wondered if anyone had a link to more portraits for the pilots to add. SA.
