I'm afraid I got the answer I was thinking of and didn't want to get. I have beta tested strategy games and I know how time consuming it is to programm and test all the changes, hard to realize how much work is behind a game before it is released, I do. It would have been really nice but I perfectly understand your point Hubert. Thanks very much for replying. Hi all: One of the things I like best in SC GC is the increased speed of the AI, so my question is if this changes, made to the combat action, could be implemented in the other SC games via a new patch for each? I'd love the AI to play as fast as in GC. How difficult would this be? Thanks

Hi all Last weekend I tried to activate SC GC in my old computer I have in my mother's in law village. I have no internet access there and I have done offline activation before with PDE without any problems. I took with me the original cd in which I had written the e-license, the game installed correctly but when I tried to get the off licence activation it got hung up, no response. I thought I might have miswritten the elicense on the disc but I checked it out when I came back home and it was alright, besides I didn't get any warning like "wrong elicense number" or similar. Thing is I couldn't generate the file to activate the game back home. Next thing I'm going to try is to reinstall the game with the downloaded file instead of with the cd and see if I can get the file to activate it later on my home's pc. If that doesn't work I don't know what can I do except from bringing my computer back to Madrid and activate the 2nd license online. Burden here is that I go there once every fornight. Has there been any reports having trouble activating the game offline?

Let's hope the repository is fixed soon, after the hacker attack. Damn those hackers :mad:

Gmail for instance doesn't allow exe files, and iirc I have that account given to Battlefront. I was surprised when I saw your site down, hope you fix everything soon. Bty when I got to your site and said it was under mantainance it asked for the username and password, I didn't dare introducing mine, that was yesterday march 24th.

Wow Impresive map, scrolling goes a bit jumpy in my pc, so here is the question to improve the scrolling would increasing ram memory help? I was told that win XP can't take advantage of more than two Gb and that's what I have. As for graphic card I have an ATI EAH3870x2 with 1Gb, getting a new one just for this mod currently is not going to happen. Would decreasing the monitor resolution speed up the scrolling?

My subs do get hunted in the 1939 campaign, two have already been sunk by july '40. It's also true that I moved them around, the moment I placed them near a port in England the RN appeared.

I'm not an expert, but from my point of view GC probably doesn't need the latest video card available, it's not a FPS after all. I'd be interested, once available, my specs quad core at 2,66 Mhz, video card 1 gb, and 2 Gb ram, win xp sp 3. Would that be enough? Regards.

Anyone interested in a pbem 1939 scenario? I don't have any preferences for any side. Usually I would be able to do a turn every day, I don't consider myself a very good player in the SC even when I have all the games I haven't played that much, I even have a rough time with the AI on normal level, that says it all. Geofighter I can tell I never had any problems with battlefront , I have bought all SC series from them sometimes direct download others also with the hardcopy and always got the games. Also their support is very good, I had to format my pc last Christmas and they reset my elicenses for which I'm very grateful (now just to be cautious I unlicense after playing). So don't worry you're in good hands. Now only a few days left for the release Bty: I used to be able to edit my posts but this option is no longer available, any chance to turn it on again or is there a reason for it? Thanks

I just preordered, with this new title I'm going to try and start a pbem straight away, since lack of time prevents me playing against the ai, and I think playing by email is more fun, so Iwill be ready to get my butt kicked, even when I have all SC games I consider myself a newbie due to lack of play... well lack of time to play. Problem solved, I activated the video acceleration option and it went to work perfectly:), ufff that was something I didn't really like :mad: it completely spoiled the game, glad to have it solved :cool: Regards

I have reinstalled the patch 1.06 but the glitch remains, should I make a new installation of the game, does this happen to anybody else?

More details: I'm running v1.06 of W&W I had installed Phillipe's Authentic flag mode, but the version of the mod I have installed dates back to july 08 when I dowloaded it. The glitch only takes place when I change the set-mode in HQ from auto to auto-assist or manual. It probably has something to do with Phillipe's flag mod. I guess the problem can be solved reinstalling patch 1.06

Hi Hubert, I'm actually playing a pbem game with the Battle for Russia scenario and have encountered the following graphich issue: when selecting Klesit HQ the 9th Corps icon in hex 45,48 gets corrupted. I have a save if you need it, just tell me where to send it. Regards.

I don't really fancy the elicense system you have to be very careful not to lose the data (virus) in your pc due to formating the HD, but it seems to me it's a very effective anticopying system. As everything it has it's pro and cons. For those reticent to buy the game because the elicense I once had a doubt and it was solve very quick, the support given was superb, so I fully trust battlefront in this aspect. I would recommned buying the game if you like it. One of the things I'd like to see is another additional license, from two to three. Many people have the desktop at home another in their country house and probably a laptop. In my case I have a pc in my mother's in law village with no internet access. Ok I have activated the elicense there but would I need to bring back that pc to where I live to deactivate the elicense should I ever want to install it in another pc? Can unlicensing be done without internet connection? Anyway I will be buying the game spite of the elicense system. Nice present for Christmas.

Got this error while playing the Spanish Civil War scenario Using v1.04 W&W expansion This is what the error log txt reported "[07/19/2008 2:25:40] FAILED(calculate_estimated_attacker_losses): Segmentation violation [07/19/2008 2:25:40; 5.1.2600; 1024x768x32(1); v1.04] FAILED(animate_protective_movement_of_naval_units): Segmentation violation" Have the autosave that loads the turn where the game crashes, if you may need it.
