Thanks for replies-I know I`m being a pain. Moon-I have not bought anything after Oct 2007 but I have a password/ e-mail adress for the repository ie main site. Does that mean that I would register with my credentials for the main site?

Just been readinf this post and I`m a bit confused as to what I need or have in order to buy Normandy when it comes out. I have username and password for the Forum 9obviously) and for the main site ( which gives me access to the Repository) The last item I bought was Shock Force when it came out (ie before Oct 2007) So what do I use,or do ,in order to buy something?

My current drivers are 197.13 (very stable and loathed to meddle, OP is XP ), and support OpenGL 3.2 as I understand it. Will this be OK for Normandy when it`s released or should I upgrade to 260xxxx drivers? What in your experience are good drivers for CM?

I don`t understand items 4 or 5 in the Explanation on the product page.. Please elaborate for me. Also If I wait `till release day and order the Pysical shipment and Download do I get the printed manual?

Quick question about pre-ordering. When I pay for it do I get a code and on the day of release it will ask me for it when I try to download it? Please help `cos I`ve never pre-ordered a downloadable game before. (honest)

P.P.S when you say Win 7 I take it that you mean the 64 bit version.What`s the point of the 32 bit version.

P.S When I unlicenced Shock Force I ended up with 3 codes-is that right. The original 2 and a third.

Thanks for replies guys. Well I`m temped to go and get Win 7 . I`ve got 4Mb and will get the same again.I know Win 7 needs a clean install. My CPU is 3.33Mhz Dual core. and graphics is GTX 260. Computer is 2 years old. If Shogun 2 is good then I will upgrade as above. P.S. Can`t wait for Normandy. It`s going to be my favourite game by a long chalk.Had all CMBO CMBB and CMAK. So glad that we are back to WW2-Battlefront`s cashflow will no doubt improve......

I am using XP at the momemt ,will I see a performance benefit if I upgrade to Win 7.? I know CM Sockforce/Normandy is 32 bit so how would a 32 bit install differ from 64bit. In essence whats best OS wise for CM Normandy?

Great news . 2 questions though; 1.If I pre-order does the physical disks ship before release date? 2.If you have run out of the metal boxes is the manual still sent in the physical copy. 3. I live in U.K. Does it all still apply to me? Sorry 3 things.

The pix look great but please can we have Field Grey uniforms for the Germans not the grey shown in the pix. Field grey is in fact green and a bit greyish. I saw in the archives of The Imperial War Museum London the complete (with accessories) uniform of an SS Rotenfuhrer (Das Reich-Der Fuhrer Regt) and it is green -with a tinge of grey. At the moment they look like Airfix soldiers.

Can anybody reccommend a campaign for the vanilla (no modules) game. And also if they are in the repository or greenasjade Thanks

I`ve got vanilla CMSF with no modules and with to upgrade to latest version. I notice that vanilla patches go only as far as 1.21 but CMSF with NATO is 1.3. Is there any intention to release a vanilla patch with the features of 1.3. at least those features not requiring any/all modules?

Thanks for the replies The initial fault was the wrong pathway.All sorted now. Just playing CMAK until SF normandy comes...... I think you`ll find it more popular/lucrative than SF. Great work - been with you since CMBO.

I`m trying to install CMAK. Using XP o/s On loading from the CDV discs I am at ver1.0.I run the game and all seems well. I have d/loaded CDV patch 1,03. When I try to runthe patch I get "What path do you want" or similar. Odd since I remember this being auto. I give it the path c:\program files\Combat Mission AfrikaKorps from the brower.and it seems to install OK. But on starting the game V1.0 remains and hangs when I try to run newish scenario(Peiper operation). Always did this if not patched OK. Have d/loaded patch twice with same result Any Ideas

Thanks for the replies everyone. Sorry if I appear dumb but after reading Moon`s post should I go ahead and Register. But the form says "do I wan`t to log-in" and register is greyed out. Don`t be too hard on each other.Both done stirling work for Combat Mission. I got CMBO and the others when they came out. That Sherman was OK wasn`t it?

Problem is now I have lost my Username and Password for the main site which I need in order to buy anything and when I try to retreive them I get a "no corresponding user found" message. Please help as I need to buy some games shortly!

Do I need to log into the site in order to by a new game or module. If so, do I need main site or forum access?

Thanks for the replies> Still got troubles..... I understand now that there is a separate user name and password for the Main Site and another for the forums. Obviously the Forum user name/password works OK. However when I try to retrieve my username and password for the Main site I get:- "no corresponding user name found" I`ve tried typing in my e-mail address for my user name,but it is not recognised. To the Administator : Please e-mail me a username and password to me.

I am logged onto the CM site (i.e. can post on forum) but when I try to down load from the Repository it asks me to register. When I do so it tells me that my e-mail address is being used. Any ideas wlcome. Surely if I`m logged on with a user name and password I should be able to d/load from the repository? I can d/load patches.

Did as you suggested-just changed the DEP setting and all seems OK. Reinstall carried on as it should and the game started. Thankyou. Never heard of DEP before. Now I know.

Using the disc from the hard copy of CMSF I get the following message after the the install and before the game runs.. "Application failed to initialise properly (oxc0000005) The game worked fine on old system. Not played for a year so so - in the meantime bought new computer. OS is XP. 32bit Nvidia drivers. Not most recent but work well on all other games. Used both the downloaded file and the hardcopy disk. Not got as far as to put in license code. Any ideas???

I know CMMODS is defunct, so where other than the depository on the Battlefront site, is the best site for mos and scenarios etc? Thanks. P.S. Can`t wait for CM Normandy.
