  1. Guys, since my hard drive crashed I've not bothered to re-install T72. I thought it would be just too much to play from scratch (I got to the map which has VERY steep hills). Is there any way of skipping to a certain level so I can play the remainder of the game? Even anything classed as a 'cheat' would do <SHUDDER>
  2. Yeh good points about the vagueness. I THINK that when you click a button the current status is shown in the BOTTOM LEFT of the screen (yeh intuitive I know).
  3. Yeh I hate that - perhaps you can get round them all going for a swim by putting them in the "Column" formation. I didn't mind though, they get across eventually Its a good mission that, took me a couple of goes. [ May 30, 2006, 12:35 AM: Message edited by: Horrgakx ]
  4. Do you have to go to the Commander position before going to map? How do you control the individual groups though? In some missions you have two groups of troops under your command ... do how do you differentiate? Edited - also I've noticed that sometimes my AI driver will want to drive me to a waypoint even when I don't want him to. It is SO annoying when you're dug in and he starts moving the tank. 5. They are small arms fire then. Why bother shooting a rifle at a tank...?
  6. Check out this screenshot, what are the blue circles?
  7. Hi again guys. I've now got to the "Canyon" mission which is an amazing landscape However again I've got some dumb troops under my control. HOW do you select and move them?
  8. On mission 15 (Oilfields) and I heard you can repair your tank?? Is this a roumour or can you really put a tread back together?
  9. I'm stuck on mission 9 (Farms) - out of around 10 re-tries I have only got my support tanks & infantry to move ONCE. They just refuse to budge I think it is buggy. Also the labling of the buttons is confusing, you don't know what it is you have selected.
  10. Must say, sometimes on certain grassy terrian it barely scratches the surface. You can drive to a tarmac road and it will dig a hole there. Go figure.
  11. ... you can repair your tank??? How?
  12. I'm having trouble with these - I've installed both mission packs and I have a folder structrure under the T72 dir called DESERT1, DESERT2 etc. But the files in there are .CD and the game is looking for .CA files under "user missions". How do I play them?
  13. Yay! Managed to complete mission 2!! See what you mean about the manual sighting and U or I - I assume that the scale on the left is for the sabot, scale in the middle is for the explosive rounds and the scale at the right is for AT HEAT rounds? However on the second mission I found two problems; 1) I had a digital sight, but no amount of right-button pressing would change the display. I just could not get a range! (I had pressed the S key and the light came on). 2) My commander would not spot things quick enough. He did see one of the static guns, but while I was lining it up I got hit by a tank which I didn't know about! Is this to be expected?
  14. Thanks for the reply, I'll try it again later tonight. The picture, by the way, just has its brightness increased and it is cropped; just to show it better.
  15. Thanks for the reply, I'll take you through a mission (second one, defend the village). I go to position 1 and sit in the hull-down position, but my hull is definately still exposed from the front but probably not so much from the sides. Very soon after a tank appears in the distance (1000yds) almost dead ahead. But then I can't hit the damn thing! My tank doesn't seem to have a range computer so I use the incremental sights. A confusing thing though is that say I have the SABOT selected (top ammo choice) the terminal point on the shell is nowhere near the 1000yd mark on the sight!! It only took 1 hit from that tank to kill me and I fired 4 times at it missing every time. PS - If I press CTRL-W in the Gunner position, a light appears. What is this for? Dave EDIT - I've added a screenshot - how unlucky can I get? [ May 11, 2006, 10:14 AM: Message edited by: Horrgakx ]
