Yes good Ole Sid, he is a genius in games design and achieving target dates........... Vaporware......I hope not as it does sound great from what I have read but I fear you may be right..

Ok first thanks DAF for yet another fine answer. Second I am from OZ and not the UK as you may have assumed. Third and most importantly, with a HQ spotting for a mortar how do you tell the HQ you want the mortar to shoot it's target? cheers

Just a general update for all who are helping and advising me at the mo...... I have beaten all the 100 series with the exception of Mr. Nasty. I have beaten all of the 200 series with a few little speedhumps along the way.. I am now moving into the 300 series.. Comrades..once more we advance to glory or death!!

DAF - OK.......I beat it with my troops pushed up two levels......stuck when I lower it one....... I can do the others fine.....specially if I have tanks or other supporting units...just the inf I am having trouble with really. Are there any other Inf only scenarios I could practice with cause honestly that one is really starting to annoy me.

DAF - Those notes are a great help and while I still have not beaten the first inf one I have at least beaten the next two! LT TEL - Thoughtful advice and I am trying those things.......just doesn't seem to help yet......perhaps more practice required.

I have tried sneaking, advance, and several other ideas I had all while pouring fire into the trench from two squads, but none of it seemed to work. Still I am not giving up on it......I will crack it, call me stubborn or just plain stupid but I now feel that I MUST beat it. Mount up comrades.....we advance again!

Well I never actually said but for background info I will inform you all now. I only started playing about 3 weeks ago now, I was playing as Germans and Soviets and getting nowhere fast,I decided to concentrate on one side while learning and picked the Soviets. It was after making that chioce that I heard that the Soviets were unfairly represented and the Germans were much better so I thought I would ask here. I am now playing PBEM games with various people and So far have only won a game against the Computer with the Soviets. Much to learn and very eager to beat my German opponents. Cheers all.

You would think something like a big HE explosion alone would knock out or kill the crew and cause major damage - T34 tanks can’t penetrate the front of the later Stug III tanks when it should at least give partial penetration. - The 45 mm gun on say the BA10 has too low a penetration rating compared to the T 60 light tank which has an identical gun. I wondered if anyone could tell me if these are true or not and what other problems there may be that should influence a Russian players force selection prior to battle?
