  1. Btw, you should ask what kind of problems you got instead of asking for balanced forces.
  2. I've played alot of combined arms, june 44 to may 45 and I think it's pretty balanced, especially 1500 and 3k games. 2k can be tough for Allies because German player can purchase battalion and two tiger in example it can be pretty hard to beat for the beginner, unless you know how to fight against it.
  3. Guns always get a first shot, so if you're expecting an enemy gun, here's couple advice. Move your tanks together where you believe the gun is located. Once the gun start to shoot your tanks the rest of your tanks hopefully destroy it, or you can move something light/inexpensive first and hope your enemy reveal his guns, and you can take them out with mortals. Sounds pretty good to me, especially if you're holding the flag, hide, and wait for your enemy and ambush them. Don't shoot over 150 meter it's wasting a bullets, unless you want to delay your enemy and keep them pinned little bit. You take always heavy losses when moving on open ground. One way to cross open is to use "move to contact" and "hide" command, so when your inf spot an enemy they hide, from there you can keep sneaking or advance/run to nearest cover, or make smoke.
  4. I like British inf because I like flamethrowers and mech-forces. British inf is little bit cheaper than American inf thus you can afford some halftracks. Use those halftrack to carry your flamethrowers, pias and mortals and give extra firepower for your inf. British inf aint so bad choice.
  5. If you need to go close range try to get 2-3 rifle squad vs 1 SMG squad and your chances ain't so bad because of grenades (40 meter to throw grenades) especially if your squads are under "morale" leader as they can take alot more heat from SMG's than normal platoons.
  6. Hey, PLM2. Email me if you're interested in playing. It's getting cold and dark here and I don't want to go out and only working 4 hours per day, so I've definitely alot of time.
  7. You can switch from PBEM to TCP/IP play mode? Does it work to the other direction, too? </font>
  8. Hi, good (maybe best?) place for good TCP/IP gaming can be found at www.the-proving-grounds.com chat. You can find a link to the chat from "Opponent Finder" forum. It may look quiet but many people maybe 10-20 people uses that for TCP/IP gaming.
  9. That's what I meant. They are totally good at that, get shot and shoot back but don't expect to do any maneuvering with them like flanking or taking a building under fire.
  10. Little addition to Bannon DC's post. I've noticed there's a huge different between unit experience too especially what comes to greens they're totally useless as infantry's main purpose is to scout and capture. They don't seem to do well in either of them and if they panic it can take a whole lot of time to get it back in line. Watch carefully greens. Regulars and veterans are a whole different story they can do a good job especially veterans.
  11. Thanks I won by Major Victory yesterday. Excellent map. I took the historical route and followed the road just like in my previous games. This time I choose not to save ammo it did the trick for me. I was amazed how much firepower you really have. Used concentrated fire while some of my squads were assaulting the nearest scattered forest or buildings. Once the mortals hits me I gave my mens appropriate time to recover and kept going. Couple question more. 1) Is that wall good for protection? My mens doesn't seem to stay there for long and start to sneak to nearest cover away from the wall. Not only in this scenario. 2) How significant AI experience bonus is?
  12. Ah, I searched yesterday only CMAK forum but this time I searched everything and got some good shot at Scenario Talk forum.
  13. Hi all. So, I can do pretty good job at most scenarios usually I win them at second try but there's one what cause me a lot of headache and something what I really want to win mainly because I think I can learn a lot from it as there's no smokes, tanks, engineers and only 2 mortals. It's name is Counterattack to Galatas. I've tried it four times and every time major defeat. Basically my problem is that I can't capture building there's just too much of firing from AI side especially when I'm deeper in the city and AI is within 100 meter and I'm forced to take building as the time is clicking. I could greatly appreciate any help I'm now at work I'm going to give it another shot when I'm back home.
