  1. Hey there,

as I'm transferring mods and scenarios from BF installation folder to the Steam one, I just can't find where to move the save files to so the Steam version uses them.

Would you guys know the right location?

    Cheers

If anyone wondering : F:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Combat Mission Red Thunder\Game Files

A weird thing about this timeframe. No US marksman rifle in the TO&E. The M14-based sniper rifle had its problems and wasn't considered a reliable weapon. Troops got sniper rifles only if HQ saw fit to dole them out on an as-needed basis. There was no trained marksman in the unit. Yeh, that kind'a shocked me too.

Good to know, thanks for the context Mike. I'm looking forward to check out if that means the SVD will give an edge to the REDFOR.

A few fun screenshots for everyone:

The MG gunner seems to have an M16 slung over the shoulder. Is it a consequence of a buddy aid?

IIRC, the NVG of that timeframe were consuming batteries quite quickly and were easily blinded by flares. Is it simulated?

Also, could you please post a few candies about the Marksman rifle? :)

  4. Driver Booster by iObit, it makes installing and keeping track of your drivers' version a walk in the park rather than a painstaking time consuming activity where it shouldn't be, nowadays.
I would rather spend 30 minutes in CM rather than searching/installing softwares. ;)

PS : obsolete drivers also makes your computer (more) vulnerable to hacking, by the way.

If you're running on Windows 10, then the 'Engine 1' version will not activate (an incompatibility with that version's copy-protection system and Windows 10). What is the latest upgrade that you have purchased ? If it is 3.0 or 4.0, then use that installer since it will have a lot of the content (modules and most patches) in the single installer.

CMBN Upgrade 3 is the latest I've purchased, yet. I'll probably go for the Upgrade 4 Big Bundle. But it's kinda weird since I remember already using the Hull Down command a couple year ago, I just can't find the matching license.

Anyway, thanks for your advice Schrullenhaft. Hopefully all titles will be on Steam soon and makes actually playing the most time consuming part of the Combat Mission experience ;)

Edit: So, CMBN Windows 3.12 Full Installer.zip seems to be one to download and install in my case.
