I'm not exactly sure where you get your information from 152, but I have most definitely made a few 6000+ kills in my time and I'm pretty sure some of the older players have done this too. As for Wednesday's game, I will be playing with the Euros in the afternoon unless something comes up. I will also try to make the regular Wednesday night fight as well.

I might actually be available for some battling in the afternoons (my time is GMT-4 I believe) for the next couple of weeks, so if any Euros get around to organizing a weekday evening game I could probably join. Also anyone else, let's say in Australia for example, wanting to arrange a time, go ahead and suggest one and I might be free.

I'm pretty sure Ithai was around from demo times too and he still shows sometimes.

I'm pretty sure I actually coined the term New Geneva Space Viking Convention, to refer to the Dropteam dos and don'ts. Not that it really matters, but after being called a newb yesterday by Kim I feel a need to reassert myself a bit. Anyway, I'm glad I did rejoin yesterday as we had a bit of fun at least, despite the connection issues. One thing I'm not too happy about though is the large number of ctf games in rotation right now. As most of you will agree, objective and territory are a lot more "like war" than any ctf game will ever be. Like geez, even the dam and the beach are set to ctf and those maps are just too big to be chasing a flag around.

Well, I'm not really sure what to think about the short time I was playing today. First off, Kim2, sorry for taking the hermes you were using for cover, not once, but twice. I could try to explain the reasoning behind why I did this, but I have a feeling you're not too interested in why. So from now on, no matter how it might affect the final outcome of the game, I won't touch any vehicles you have in your escort.

Where are you going to be when you are in Canada jby? I'm guessing it will be British Columbia or thereabouts, since you seem to be drawn towards the mountains. If you need someone to have a drink with in the Toronto area let me know.

Something has come up at the last minute and I won't be able to be on at the regular time. I do hope to be on a bit later though - maybe an hour later instead.

Glad to see there was a battle yesterday, good news indeed. If anyone feels like a little fun I will try to be on today (Thursday) around 7:30ish EST - the usual time as the Wednesday fight.

I had a feeling it was something like that. I'm afraid that I will be, once again, unable to make Wednesday's game. I will however attempt to make it either Sunday or next Wednesday.

I have been getting the no servers found message for the last two days. Is this just me or are others getting the same message?

That's hilarious! I had dropped that engineer unit about 10 minutes earlier, told them to hunker down, and then promptly forgot they were on the battlefield. At least I correctly anticipated what units we might need as the battle progressed.

Gee, that was fun yesterday. The battle on Raid teetered on the edge until 152mm managed to capture the central tower, allowing us to drop en masse near the objective - nicely done team. As you guys can tell I've been pretty busy lately, but I will still try to make Sunday and Wednesday games when I can.

I'm really busy with work and a number of other things right now, so I don't know when I will be able to make any regularly scheduled games for a while. On a brighter note, summer starts today!

Yeah, but I was just stalling you on the east tower for as long as possible to keep you from focussing on the true objective, and those turrets were just 76mm. It was a fun little battle too - for the most part all I used beyond the turrets was a well spread out infantry squadl, unless I'm mistaken. [ June 10, 2008, 04:11 AM: Message edited by: Junglist ]

Yeah, I realized after I wrote that it was actually 5 vs 4 at the peak. Anyway, 9 is pretty freaking awesome showing these days. The battle on the Recon In Force map was one of the most fluid games I've ever played; although we lost in the end by 200 points (or something like that - if only we had saved one more SAM for final minutes) it was a blast!

I was thumbing through some of the old posts and stumbled across this blast from the past. Feeling a little nostalgic I ended up reading through all the posts, as well as the Upstarts AAR sticky from the preview matches the week before. Geez, that was fun, eh?

I suggest we start on Delta Pavonis this afternoon, in case there are potential players who haven't been following this thread. At some point we'll switch over to the Gauntlettestserever and try out the new scenario jby has made. Sound good?

Composite nouns make for some awfully long words to spell! With the push to dumb down the English language into something a 10 year old can type on MSN or use for texting, I just don't see the adoption of longer words any time soon.

Although I don't have Bloody Iwo installed, I was able to join your gauntlet server. So I'm good for Sunday if we decide to play the new scenario. Much to my surprise I never actually downloaded the Bloody Iwo map before.

Hey jby, what am I doing wrong? If I remember correctly I place all the contents of the gauntlet folder in the data folder. I did this but the scenario is not showing up in the list. Is there something I'm forgetting?
