He does look a lot better since he stopped dieting.....Looked positively gaunt back then!
PS - @Warts 'n' all tease each other a bit, his avatar is Cromwell and I'm from Worcester.....Back in the English Civil War, Worcester was a Royalist redoubt:

When Cromwell's goons finally got into Worcester they properly vandalised the place.  Some of the vandalism has been left 'as was' and is now a prominent feature in the dining hall of a rather posh local school:

TBH, I haven't got a clue what he's on about half the time.

When my pixeltruppen deserted me and started to retreat on their own accord I thought I had lost it all. Sure I had asked a BTR company to charge an entire Abrams battalion task force, but I didn't think that after having suffered 50%+ casualties that theyd turn tail and run! After two full years of conscription those perfidious pixeltruppen pounded pavement and left me to face the commissar, alone! Some of the other commanders even told me that they had deserted the army to join NATO instead. Then I called my local pixelspell caster, Deckard Cain. I talked with him about my situation and using the power of crystals, soothing chants, and a pact with a being whose name is unpronounceable by the human tongue and whose twisted blackened visage is split into uncountable thirsting maws, he brought my pixeltruppen back to me! And all it cost me was 5.99(per minute), some time, and the souls of myself and everyone I've ever known. Did I unleash an unspeakable horror from its immortal prison? Maybe. But it was worth it to win back the hearts of my truppen. Literally! If you want to transform your life too, dial 1(900)NYARLATHOTEP (and dont forget to accept the charges!)

I didn't think it would be so complicated so much, shared texture and other quirks!!!
    But I'm making progress!

@rtdooda little more patience and I'll send you the mod to join your excellent work !!!

They should have "skipped" putting someone who was four stops short of Dagenham East into power in the first place. And remember children, don't trust a guy who hangs around pubs and never drinks beer.

Let me offer some friendly advice. Don't get all butthurt by this kind of comment. Learn from it - it's probably given in good faith. Someone is telling you based on the snippets of information, this is the impression he is getting and his decision on when (or if) he will buy will be based on that impression. That's actionable information.
Those snippets thrown out by someone were also made in good faith. When one compresses a 312-page book into a web review or first impressions, inevitably detail would be lost. A book is also about what people take away from it. That's also a lesson.
Besides, IMO there's no point in blaming the "leakers", b/c people will get similar suspicions re the probable content of Battlegroup if they had read your immediately preceding work Hall of Mirrors.
I can't make this decision for you, but I think the best damage-control tactic at this point is not to insist on what you didn't say, but simply to cite (extensively) what you did say. You've already told us the Soviet Ground Forces will be far from the focus of the book. If that's so, you can spoil that part without ruining the sale value of your piece. At least now you know what kind of preview snippets to offer up to convince your potential buyers your rather expensive book (~US$45!) is a safe bet.

It has nothing to do with the Tactical AI whatsoever.
Gran was apparently added to the Ukrainian TOE (for this fictional game), based on information that Battlefront had at the time they wrote it.....They haven't felt a need to update it, nor do I think there is one.
CM:BS is filled to the brim with TOE oddities, you can either go into the editor and sort it as best you can (in an attempt to create a more realistic TOE) or you can live with it.
Inaccurate comments that are completely unsupported by in-game evidence (& easily contradicted by the simple expedient of actually starting the game up and playing it) are of no value whatsoever IMHO.

Apologies in advance if this has been posted previously.  I did a search and wasn't able to find anything...
I took a break and was away from the game and forum for several years, only returning 4-6 mmonths ago.  I've never posted a lot, but have always been around.  It occurred to me this morning that I didn't recall seeing any recent posts by Mr. Emrys.  So, I searched for Michael  on the forum and found that his last post was from April of 2020.  This revelation sent me to an internet search where I found the following from the Port Townsend Leader.

With a population of less than 10,000 in Port Townsend, I'm afraid this is our man

True it was hard for a 75 mm to knock a Panther tank out. The King Tiger a very good tank but not very reliable.

Remember that the top armor is the weakest on all MBTs.
    Some related simulations:
    155mm M107 vs Leopard 1 hull top (30mm)

    152.4mm F-534 HE vs RU251 armor (20mm thick)

I don't think that Soviet Armoured Infantry stayed on their tanks till shot to pieces as some robotic zombies. I made some movements so they keep their formations with their armor. Give them a move order so that they embark their tank but give the tank a move order first.

They will on foot follow the tank till the tank's last waypoint.

The engine generates automatically an extra waypoint so that the unit will embark the tank. If you don't want the unit to embark just backspace the last waypoint. The unit will take position near the tank. Cons The Soviet Desant Infantry keeps formation with the their tank, C2 when embarked they have access to the radio (Superior C2) Not as vulnerable getting from A to B.

Either the other player used Area Fire, or the AI had Area Fire Orders.
PS - Trucks @ Front Line = No-No.....That's why APCs (& then IFVs) were invented.

So what you are saying, in essence, is that you are somehow surprised that a man, sat in an unarmoured truck full of fuel, ammo & men, is concerned about being parked next to a house that is receiving medium caliber high explosive rounds and continuous MG fire?
Blimey, the CM learning curve is gonna be very steep.....You might need some safety gear!
    I did.
Please do not be rude to people who are trying to explain how CM works.....You are not playing Command & Conquer.
