That's a nice way of putting it.  It should be a very interesting read but it seems the author is in some type of competition to see how many modern catch words & phrases he can pack into every sentence.  Maybe it was time for his Officer Evaluation Report and he his trying to impress his rater with how articulate he is.  After awhile I started to laugh and just read it for comedy sake.  There are entire paragraphs of impressive, flowery, prose that might have one sentence of substance.   Below is one example.
This network encouraged vertical and lateral coordination and information-sharing, which produced disciplined initiative, improved the situational awareness of every member of the team and allowed JIIM stakeholders to federate information and collaborate efforts.
Well...........I got to go collaborate the efforts of my young ones (stakeholders) and federate information (in a transparent way) to encourage vertical and lateral information-sharing (for disciplined initiative) so we get the day's chores done around here with an increased situational awareness.

    Chr1st on a bike ... you're not wrong. Combatintman's version of the article ...
During the Battle of Marawi, US SOTF 511 assisted local forces in defeating the enemy.
During the battle, we talked to a lot of people in-country. We established and leveraged liaison links with local and regional partners. We employed reachback support from the US and other US commands. Our intelligence reporting was written for release to local forces in order to improve information flows and reinforce transparency and trust.
As a result bad guys got killed and it didn't cost us much money or any casualties.
    Methinks:
The guy is an idiot. Getting paid by the word. Or has been told that articles must be a minimum length. Actually now you boil the verbal diarrhoea to the key information, he's not exactly discovered next gen warfare here has he?

Could some one well-versed in making campaigns explain to me what exactly the lines "REFIT" & "REPAIR VEHICLE" do?
Is it basically replacements for my Core Units? Like if I put both values at 50%, does that mean they will replace 50% of the units and vehicles I lost with new, similar ones?
Or are we actually talking repairing damage (like damaged sights etc.) on the existing vehicles I just took into battle?
And what about walking wounded, incapacitated, and dead soldiers?

The manual is not at all clear about this, please help!

If you have been watching the news coverage then you should know why the fly by happened.
    😉
    For those who don't...
A school kid in Sheffield saw the plane crash. He was in a public park where the plane might have been able to land, but they saw him so avoided it to try and find somewhere else. The kid saw the faces of the men and has blamed himself ever since for the deaths.
That kid stayed in Sheffield and is now an old man and visits the memorial at the crash site everyday talks to the crew and tends the memorial.
A BBC sports presenter lives in Sheffield and walks in the park saw the man doing this and eventually got chatting to him and found out the story.
He mentioned it on BBC news one morning and a social media campaign kicked off to get a fly by on the anniversary. Not just for those men but for all the aircrews that died. The US aircrew stated as much on TV.
A good news story showing how people care about those who died during the war.
This to me was clear from the coverage I watched...

Thanks for this. This helps a lot. I ran your saved game using my FB 2.0 installation and saw the same behavior you did, just slightly different end results but pretty much the team running around panicked.
Then I loaded it in the patched beta version of FB and the behavior was markedly improved. In fact, I'd say, exactly what you would want. The team stopped at that row of bushes (not really a hedgerow), either kneeling or prone, took a couple shots at an enemy soldier in the stone courtyard in front of them, who then appeared to run off, then took a couple rifle shots at a Sherman that suddenly appeared far off through the trees - presumably to make it button up. Then they hunkered down. All four guys in the same place, no running in circles, screaming and shouting. Proper behavior.
That should cut through the remainder of the above discussion.

There is a link of the second page of the Multicam 3rd infantry thread. The thread it links to has two orders of battle. The second one is more detailed. I also have what I think is a rather complete Syrian order of battle for 2008 on paper (before the civil war of course).  I can post it if there is interest.

HtH is definitely covered- no worries.
I'm just rethinking the concept of how I did them in the past- as focusing on balance before my better judgement from either side. The old "meeting engagement" based upon more historical information and maps is more my speed.

+1  THIS.  @benpark.  The community needs scenario designers and you are one of the best, most knowledgeable designers.  The occasional negative comment when not backed up by thoughtful, constructive criticism should be kept in perspective.  Thank you for your hundreds (maybe thousands?) of hours of great scenario design.

It's impossible to have a genuine exchange about military issues beyond base technical aspects of equipment without getting into politics. Politics are a natural and vital part of any such discussion if it has any depth or merit at all. That's why you haven't seen me join in such discussions and especially not on current events. It's difficult not to jump in sometimes, but I'm willing to keep my mouth shut in CM's house for the good of the game.
However, I think that one day, historians looking back on our time period may well use a title like Castles Made of Sand.
"And they built great castles and poured praise upon themselves for achieving such works as their ancestors in their ignorance could not.
But the works of the new man were made of sand and fell, for the builders had forgotten what true stone and wood look like."

Perhaps not.....But I'm a bit bored with explaining something that, to a person of normal intelligence, was clear in the first place.
How you can expect an answer to whether Germany (a democratic country as I recall) would commit troops to a hypothetical war against Russia, without entering the realm of politics to some degree, utterly eludes me.....I did my best, but apparently that wasn't quite enough for some people.

I don't believe the German public buy into the 'threat from the east' scenario that their senior NATO partner are trying to sell, they quite rightly suspect that it's much more about stopping Russian gas from crossing borders, than it is about Russian tanks.
Sorry if that's too political, but it's kind of hard to discuss this subject in isolation.

    From the briefing:
    FISBUK PRISON:
Fisbuk Prison is in the southeast area of the city (Grid: 45012500).  Ten of the remaining twenty aldermen (political prisoners) are confined in the prison.  The prison is guarded by conventional forces.  Demolition charges can Blast the aldermen free after regime troops guarding the prison are driven off.  The ten aldermen are regime unit objectives worth 10VPs each and must be safely brought to the City Council Building and restored to power.  The aldermen must use the exit, inside the City Council building, prior to the end of the scenario.  Freeing the aldermen and temporarily occupying the administration building of the prison will persuade the city police (See Police HQ section) to join the rebels.
Note:  If the rebels make their broadcast from WTF radio station while the 10 aldermen are still confined at the prison regime forces will execute them.  The regime would earn 100VPs for the 10 aldermen confined at Fisbuk Prison.
SF team provides overwatch as rebel hired mercenaries enter the front gate of Fisbuk Prison.

After a sharp firefight the political prisoners are freed from their cells.

The freed prisoners walk among their liberators on the way to board trucks that will transport them to the City Council building located within the Government Complex.

Was doing some research on hangings for war crimes and crimes against humanity and found a good quality video on YT of the hangings in Lansberg, Germany in 1947. Barely did I have the video playing when I looked down and noticed this stunning and first comment on the execution video by Seep Stoxreiter PhD. Wanted to preserve it while I could remember to do so. Quite the read. Video title is  MUNICH. [No. ] 191 HANGINGS AT LANSBERG, GERMANY. Wasn't sure whether a link would be acceptable to Mods.

"Let me add my thoughts to this video from a different perspective. My father was in the Waffen SS. Leibstandarte Adolf Hitler. Rank Captain, Tiger tank commander. And in 1944, one of the select few to guard Hitler himself. He was present when Stauffenberg unsuccessfully tried to assassinate Hitler, although he was not in the same room. He knew all of the big wigs, Goering, Himmler et al. He told me a few stories about them, but kept most things to himself. Growing up in Austria in the 50's and 60's I found that most men I met were very unfriendly and bitter people. Had no idea then why. My father never managed to readjust to civilian life and battled to keep a steady job as he was so thoroughly brainwashed by the Nazis (btw, he was tall, blond with blue eyes. The perfect candidate for the SS). And he had very little education before he joined the SS. He was a very arrogant man, looking down on everybody else. He treated me and my brother really bad, taking out his frustration on his kids. Things got so bad that I developed some psychological problem which took me years to overcome. Same with my brother. He is also psychologically damaged, joined the French Foreign Legion for a brief stint before he managed to desert while in Africa! As soon as I finished my Engineering Degree I emigrated to a English speaking country where I was able to shake off my rather sorry childhood and become a very successful Engineer and business owner. Porsche in garage and Helicopter in the hangar. My son and my grand kids don't speak a word of German. When I compare the Austrians/Germans to the people in the English speaking world, and I have traveled extensively there, I always found them very friendly and open minded wherever I went. That is in stark contrast to the bitter and often downright nasty behavior of the people I left behind. That will explain the many nasty things the Nazis and their supporters did. Not only to the 'Enemies' but their own people. Hundreds of thousands of Germans were sent to the extermination camps as well, don't forget that. People with handicaps or genetic disorders were also gassed. Times of course has changed in Europe and the younger generation is more open minded. But there is still a very strong following of the Nazi ideology in the area I grew up. Remember Jorg Haider? Look him up. That's the place I left. Still hankering back to the 'Good Old Times'. So whenever I see one of these war criminals being hanged I have very little sympathy. I had to flee the Nazis myself and that was in 1971!!."

    John Kettler

I found it amusing that they ARE playing a computer game on those monitors of theirs. That game is called Arma, the map they're playing on is Takistan. At 1:47, it actually says Takistan, a fictional video game country, on their "GPS".
Frankly, I can't take this seriously. I always had respect for Rafael as a company, and hardly expected this sort of antics. Worst part, is that this is the second time they're trying to sell a video game IFV. Why doesn't someone try selling a AT-ST walker from Star Wars at one of these expositions? It has as much relation to realty as this:
