  1. On a modern tank? No. Not even straight through the gun-sight. Very dodgy IMHO.
  2. Sorry I got a bit lost on YouTube after posting that video.....Anyhow: The full Malta kit looked like this (allegedly): Dodgy ammo stowage seems to be a bit of a recurring theme.
  3. SU-100Y: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SU-100Y That thing really does have a gun from a warship! I was a fan of the KV-85 too (both in CM and in my 1/72 scale model collection).....Allegedly at least one of them was retrofitted with the turret from a IS-2. Since we're already on a slight tangent, this is an immensely cool one off: And in a vague effort to get this train back on track I shall suggest that if you are doing a hypothetical Malta scenario, you will need these: One of the greatest riffs of all time IMHO!
  4. If we're paying out for insanely rare things, then I think I'd rather have these three for an early iteration of CM:RT: But that's probably for another thread really.
  5. Apparently they made it to Greece in 1941, which pretty much puts them in the frame for @kohlenklau's concept. I loved these in CM:BB, hunting T-34s with them was so much fun and they were actually pretty good at it.....So long as the T-34s were looking the other way.
  6. The FPV's a cool drone (it'll do 90+mph in free-flight mode), I nearly bought one a few months back: https://www.dji.com/uk/dji-fpv In the end I decided to wait to see if they will implement their original plan for full modularity.....At the moment if you crash it (which you definitely will) and break a rotor arm (which you probably will), it has to go back to DJI to be fixed. However DJI were talking about making the arms 'plug & play' components on a future version of the FPV.....If they do, I'm definitely having it. It's £2000-3000 for a decent DJI FPV setup, so properly busting it would really suck, unless you did something truly spectacular like flying it into an active lava plume and then sold the footage to everyone. PS - Also this: https://www.theverge.com/2021/6/1/22463946/dji-drone-ban-pentagon-department-of-interior & this: https://www.theregister.com/2021/07/26/pentagon_grounds_own_report_that/ Hence my comment about the PLA in my first reply. I suppose when your work-car is a MQ-9 Reaper, being able to play with a FPV at the weekend isn't quite so important.
  7. The copious & high-tech ammo stowage must have pleased the crews too! We should make a cr@p AFVs thread somewhere.
  8. I'd love it if your pack could go back a bit further and cover the Italian invasion of Abyssinia. Jah Rastafari! But CM would really need hand to hand combat for that to happen. Those things were rare as rocking-horse s**t! Plus they really do look like someone emptied a skip out onto a Pz.III!
  9. Ayman al Zawahiri may just have done a really dumb thing: https://www.longwarjournal.org/archives/2021/09/ayman-al-zawahiri-promotes-jerusalem-will-not-be-judaized-campaign-in-new-video.php Over and above the usual bombast & jingoism, he appears, rather foolishly, to have threatened to export Jihad to China.....I'm sure that the Taliban will be delighted at his enthusiasm for bombing their new chums!
  10. And then the dumb ***** leave it on your C Drive by default so it eats your SSD!
  11. The question was about spotting in CM, not Soviet doctrine.
  12. More importantly.....When? Not too worried what it is, but I definitely want it. Yours in the only game in the series where I still spend more time playing than editing.....But that won't last, I've already got three CM:CW projects on the go. PS - I am hoping there are some old CM:A fans amongst the CM:CW posse, I must admit.
  13. Looks like they might have used a DJI FPV.....The PLA will be fascinated by the footage I'm sure. PS - I've seen more impressive footage from a DJI FPV TBH: You can actually hear the rotors melting!
  14. Yes.....The fighting can get really quite close: Anyone want to place a small wager on the outcome before I click 'Go'?
  15. I don't know if it does or not.....I was hoping someone might enlighten me.
  16. I haven't bothered yet, but I probably will at some point. Does a Steam install share the folder in Documents with a Battlefront install of the same game, or does it create a sub-directory with a fresh folder? If it's the latter I'll be installing all the games via Steam sooner rather than later.
  17. There's nothing broken per-se.....The units match the Briefings now and it's fun to play, but it's very hard to score a victory, at least in the early scenarios (mostly for VP balance reasons IMHO), but without having the full decompiled campaign to look at it's not really fair for me to comment beyond that. Suffice it to say that I have been disappointed with my results, not with the game play (which is actually kind of exciting).
  18. Is the issue simply that you cant use rez-explode.....If so, I like blowing things up! Just let me know what needs exploding (& I'll stick the files in a private location for you to download).
  19. I had a funny feeling you would say something very much like that, including the petulance. Which one of the countless threads that you will inevitably create might a newcomer happen to choose when making a casual search for the first time? Maybe leave Battlefront's job to @BFCElvis? PS - And we're up to two already.....Bingo!
  20. We were hoping you might use our toolset to make your campaign afresh in CM:SF2.....All you really need for a fairly early setting are Korean voice files and whatever vehicle mods you choose to use (the earlier T-62 based Chonma-Ho types are probably the easiest to model).
