CM needs this feature…
Sgt.Squarehead replied to Majestic12's topic in Combat Mission - General Discussion
I rarely use 'Target' for area fire for just this reason, 'Target Briefly - 60 seconds' gets you the same result, but it saves you ammo & work too! -
Those stonemasons really did get everywhere.

Technically that's (part of) what your tentative contact markers are doing. -
I'd agree that aircraft do seem more vulnerable now, but I couln't say for sure there's been a change, it just feels that way.

TBH I couldn't think of a decent topic title, but I found this article rather interesting (and somewhat cheering given the otherwise rather bleak tone of the news right now): https://www.theguardian.com/science/2022/jan/27/dont-look-up-an-actual-comet-wiping-out-earth-would-be-avertable-scientists-say PS - The numbers given for destroying an asteroid the size of Ceres are simply staggering.....We'd probably end up with half the world paying Iran, North Korea (& everybody else with a reactor) to speed up their nuclear weapon & missile programmes!

Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-9900K CPU @ 3.60GHz 3.60 GHz. This is my machine: https://www.eteknix.com/novatech-reign-paladin-mkii-gaming-pc-review/ I opted for watercooling both for the main board and the GPU (2080ti Extreme).

Defeat a heavy defended sector

Looks like the stock textures to me. -
I have an I9-9990.....Apparently that's not supported either.

I'd guess it's down to aircraft being a feature of WWII scenarios less often.....It's certainly been happening for a while.

I suspect JK meant the Mi-24 shared its origin with the Mi-8/17, which it does: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mil_Mi-24 The Mi-28 is a wholly different beast: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mil_Mi-28

Same here allegedly.....Fekkin ridiculous!

He does look a lot better since he stopped dieting.....Looked positively gaunt back then! PS - @Warts 'n' all tease each other a bit, his avatar is Cromwell and I'm from Worcester.....Back in the English Civil War, Worcester was a Royalist redoubt: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Worcester When Cromwell's goons finally got into Worcester they properly vandalised the place. Some of the vandalism has been left 'as was' and is now a prominent feature in the dining hall of a rather posh local school:

Units can't be directly transferred from game to game (although their models & textures probably can) Not doable.....The game calendar is stricly limited. However don't let this stop you, most players will happily ignore the game calendar if the scenario (& its briefing) is convincing enough. You could import snowy ground textures and I believe the temperature can be set to freezing, but the weather options like the calendar are stricly restricted (this is why the 'H&E Mod' doesn't have rain).....I don't recall snow being an option in CM:BS (but it might just become available in a future module).

We were referring to the metal all coming from the same place, not the thickness of the armour.
