The SCW mod was for CM:BB, but it was more than just a few scenarios, if one was so inclined there were enough mods to justify a second CM:BB/SCW install (I had one and loved it). Not true....They looked fine if you had enough mods, mine even sounded fine. There really were a lot of mods for this one, IIRC there were a couple of dedicated websites too. PS - I believe I've still got a fair number of the scenarios, but sadly none of the mods (I may still have a hard drive with all of it somewhere).

The Italians appear to have made a pretty good attempt at a MGS type vehicle with their Centauros.....The latest version packs a 120mm gun:

My US infantry just got shelled to death in place.....WooYay!

It's absolutely stonking stuff lads, trust me.....I laughed myself silly a couple of times, like when a dude I was trying to bust ran straight through the middle of my teams and by the grace of his Uncon powers got past them all, leading to a classic foot pursuit through alleys & across gardens! He ultimately managed to get away, diving into his exit location just as a squad car screeched to a halt outside!

I believe there may still be some 'technical issues' with the MGS. It also doesn't carry much ammo for it's whopping gun, and has very little armour.....So while it looks kind of like a tank and consequently there's a temptation to use it like one, it isn't one and you shouldn't. This is also the issue referenced in my comment about the 30mm armed Stryker.....It won't actually be an IFV (any more than a BTR-82a is), but there's a risk that it might get used as one.

I'd recommend making enquiries.....Our mutual friend is up to his tricks again.

Yeah, but wasn't that the Russians? It sounds like a fairly Russian idea TBH.

A lesser version happened to me, several patches back with CM:BM (it created a CM:BN directory in my CM:BN directory), hence my questioning above. No hassles at all since though.
