  1. And you still don't get it. I do like the game and am a happy customer, but at the same time there are areas where I think there is room for improvement. It's quite alright to enjoy a game but to also say at the same time "I really wish they would improve this."
  2. No, that's just making excuses. I and others am not asking for AAA-grade graphics like in Call of Duty but something that's say, a least within 5 years of the latest trends in graphics rendering. Gamers like myself want to see the newer hardware being better utilized than it is now (seriously, there's no reason why my frame rates should be crippled when looking at some of the larger maps on, say, Final Blitzkrieg, with me running an Nvidia 3080 and a Ryzen 5600). Put another way, you may be happy with average graphics (and from the looks of your screenshots, you are running the game at almost-minimal detail), but there are those of us who want to see and experience more, within reason.
  3. Yes, average graphics, as in: Awful fog rendering The worst-looking shadows I've seen in any game Plowed fields that give a moire effect when viewed from certain angles High-detail texture and terrain object rendering that stops way shorter than it should for those with high-end systems Nonexistent proper 4K resolution support None of those things have anything to do with Fog of War. Yes, the gameplay is still great, but the graphics are definitely lagging behind in certain areas.
  4. In response to the initial question - No
  5. Oh my word, that thread was an all-time classic.
  6. You'll manage somehow if you have to wait for a follow-on module to feature it.
  7. It's to simulate them having field telephones.
  8. When I was in the US Army in the early 2000s, all of the trucks and Humvees were fully automatic. Any that were still manual transmission at that point were probably just in National Guard units. EDIT: nevermind, it turns out M809s were still in service in Afghanistan.
  9. I bet you'll make another dumb off-topic comment just to stir up crap before the end of the week.
  10. Well, it of course takes time and resources to model all of that stuff, and to date there really hasn't been that high of a demand from the IL2 community for more detailed night operations. Do recall as well that all of those fancy radar sets in the original IL2 were implemented after 1C transferred the rights to further content development to Team Daidalos.
  11. @BFCElvis, any way we can get these two screenshot topics merged?
  12. So, what is it you're wanting / hoping to see changed?
  13. Not everyone here is an armor geek that knows all the ins and outs of imaging technology on modern armored fighting vehicles.
  14. On Chrome, some of the colors blend in too much - for instance, the blue arrow at the top right-hand side of a quoted message is practically invisible. I only knew that it was there, because this forum software is used on other websites that I visit.
  15. That's my stance as well. Aside from some very, very minor user interface modifications that I created myself, I run all the CM2 titles as-is with the default textures and sounds.
  16. Steve, as I posted in another topic, the BFC logo is also cut off at the top of the screen on Chrome on Android smartphones.
  17. @Battlefront.com, @BFCElvis, on Android smartphones, the BFC logo is cut off at the top of the screen.
  18. People need to remember that the British military adopted a philosophy of "steel, not flesh" by the time WWII came about. The horrendous casualties of WWI drove that lesson home quite brutally.
