  1. Squad leader with more juice it's great but the spotter role should go to the specialist and it would be great if that'd come with the ability to paint targets for nearby hidden atgm carrier, may be once some kind of alert and countermeasure are avaiable for the other side

  4. ok i think there's a flaw here: Dark_au wants to play following modern warfare tactics, and I should admit I'm inclined to do so as well but moderwarfare tactic were developed according to the reality of the battlefield (in theory) and the weapons avaiable and their performances (in theory even more) here Galaxys and AAD are the reality of these battlefields so we have to adapt as well, nevertheless since Dark_au is one of the more prolific scenario designers I'm sure soon we will see maps whose features will raccomand a modern warfare doctrine rather than a far future one.

    just make the towers non capturable btw that's exactly the point of my grievance with aad, also "cross road" map offers the same problem, if you don't know the map or just join after work to relax the nerves or you pop in after the beginning then you play the looser

I noticed that after my buddies were in hold position mode, in which i put them after being in linear formation max width, they came back to me in the original starting formation -> star/almost minimun range-> sitting ducks for HE rounds ok star formation is fien to be deployed->secure the perimeter is the 101 of every landing but imho a arrow and inverted arrow formations are really needed for scouting and advancing in offensiv recces.......
  8. for the time being i haven't really see somebody pick up a feint knowing what it was and kick back, i remember some very well coordinate attack with poesel :cool: discuss tactics here was also the purpose of my topic on twin peaks, of course you never know with who you are gonna teamed up but at least let everybody know what would be shortly discussed during deployment
  9. cover and coop are the key to success -> here come into the equation the player, if somebody just joins a server for a shoot out its team is already weakined by the cat that it cannot count on him: he's gonna keep that position? where is gonna drop next? i think sometimes it's worth to spend a few moment talking or typing to figure out a strategy and then drop

    is it possible to change randomly map rotation? i connect alwas at the same time and i play always the same map.......
  11. good tactic is diversion: attack from one side to attract attention and then jump out from the other and fire at their backs but also attract the enemy toward a chocke point and fill it with artillery hull down is better achieved in collaboration with cutters that can actually dig holes ATGM are the best for a contained defense, where you slow down the enemy advace to give time to set up a well done defensive perimeter, once the enemy is advancing in a defined position infantry could be brought along the axis and get a lot of kills
  12. yhea non capturable towers for sure! why don't add wreaks all around like if the ship was shoot down during some very bloody battle?
  13. let the 76 alone! I've got to second the part about concussion, infantry seems to suffer from near misses, why shouldn't a crew be dazed for a couple of seconds? i don't pretend blurred visuals etc, just 3 or 4 seconds of incapacitation-> the vehicle run the way it was running minus the impact effects
  14. shrike are good meat for HE and infantry too, probably you can damage also a wheel on a paladin, just try setting up a game w/o opponent bots and shoot at your mates and then check after selecting them on the tac map what kind of damage they took personally i find HE good also so shake enemy vehicles when trying to aim

  16. ask Jung what you can do with a 76mm paladin jumping out of nowhere in the middle of an advancing enemy formation...... with some well placed smoke + sand dust out of two cutters, one apollo, one hermes and two thor only a thor and the apollo made it unscattered; one thor w/o turret (and to me that's like a kill in a hot drop zone) hermes and cutters gone for good if a paladin is the price to pay well i'm happy to pay for it! wheels give you speed, that's what you need when you drive around without much of an armour, the advatage of the 76mm would be completly lost on a slower platform, you will be a sitting duck at the distance before be able to get close enough! sorry but i've got a fondness for the 76, i would like to see a shrike 76, may be it's time for me to mess around with XLM files......

    ehi it's just me or since the demo (beta) it's much harder to kill the enemy gun?

    Is it possible to check the servers (dt servers i mean, in general I know it's possible) from a web page to know how many players there are w/o starting the game?
  19. prone men and dead men should look alike, the skins (body armour and insigna, small detail if possible even on vehicles) should be different somehow for the two teams, not so differents so that fog of war will still cause some blue on blue, to keep trigger happy people quiet i would take away names, only on the tac map one should be able to see who's in the frindly vehicle close to you and only friendly forces should be identified by name poesel's right when he says that bots seem to know who's dead and who's prone..........
  20. i see the point of variation and why not unbalance but only on mods--> you join a server knowing that no matter what you are going to fight hard with what you have even to achieve an onourable defeat; anyways this already happen if you join at mid time a poorly populated match

  22. if you do it while in hold position you can position every buddy in a nice ambush position
