  1. All Hail Hubert Purveyor Of Fine Historical Replay Mechanisms!!!!!
  2. China can fall, but the effort and resources it take are large, depriving the buildup of the IJN. in my multiplayer China fell and as the U.S I wiped out the smaller IJN, and invaded Japan !
  3. I am playing the Entente with the Centrals at +2 , +100 It is October of 1914, and I am getting badly mauled. The A.I is reasonably good. When I saw it garrisoning towns and not being overtly aggresive I went on the offense, LOL that concluded with the A.I going on the offense, at great cost to me! I will probably lose this one in a few more turns , simply due to not having and Army......at all! Round 2 will see me setting the Cetrals at +1, +50 to see if I can balance it out better!!!
  4. I got the same invalid code! LOL at least it will be fixed quicly! !!!!
  5. Yes Huberts games like a truely excellent Cabernet, have simply, and vastly improved with time, so like the old quote from Orsen Welles, "Let us serve no wine {Game } before its time."
  6. Only one red arrow from USA to England, is not enough, and in our game sea lion was sucessful so now I have to spend six months to send the US troops to africa. I fought and lost a battle with the british navy in the med so I took refuge in the Red Sea, however I can not reneter the Med despite controlling the Suez? My remaining RN and troops fleeing England have reached the south altlantic transport boxes, and are sitting there?? Also other than transport I can not move trops from Palestine to Egypt , the can not cross via land movement? This is really a GREAT Scenario you have done , with some minor tweeks it will be fun to replay many time!!!
  7. The answer to your realease question is quite simple, if we are promised X date and maybe X+ date and it goes beyound that people will ask Y!
  8. The Great War, was eclipsed in history, by the second world war, but the Dynamics of the whole encompassment of the first world war and all of its variants are astounding compared to the more black and white war of WWII!
  9. In WWI airships were mostly invunerable till late in the war.
  10. Before the new scenarios? How about a Naval Loop from Amerika to England? 4 turns?
  11. Simply a great design, The USA need a Naval loop to england as it takes a very tedious and almost one year to ship US units to england.Even if this loop took 5 turns it would be better than the cumbrsome moving my huge convoy turn after turn. Transports need to have a higher speed ans do most naval units. But this game is Delightful!!!
  12. GREAT Concept!!! So far I am playing Allies with the Axis on +2 EXP and +100% . The Germans need a script to garrison Poland as thry ignore it and Russia comes in FAST. VS the A.I is not bad the Germans do need to concetrate on knocking out Paris. This game will be a masterpiece with a little refining. I cant wait to play it two player.
  13. Just started Nov 39 , looks good still need to see how it is balanced , ......But seems to be Supurb!
  14. The only Fall Wiess I see is from May 2010?
  15. DITTO!!!! So looking forward to this Title, will there be random events?
  16. It is the player MODs that make the game beyond awesome!
  17. My 2 bits- We need sea ares VS sea hexes, with randomness to find enamy ships
  18. Abukede, Have you played La Grand Guerre Gold? The game IS simply suberb! I sold my board game version for near $500.00 after the Gold update did such a good job on recreating the board game! Please elaborate more why this New design is better? Also the randomness of the action cards drawn make for never the two same games!
  19. I guess Kurt should answer this one as we both had 3 points in and still got a hit? I think in older versions each point cancelled each other out?
  20. Although La Grande Guerre is in my honest opinion simply the best game ever produced on WWI. Hubert is probably one of the very few people who can do a WWI gane justice. I am a closet historian, WWI presents a set of truely unique circumstances, both political, militarily, and technological inovations the were hitherto unimaginable. If anyone has any indepth knowledge of the war, it IS an amazing time period. It was never a war of static when the Germans where on the offense in the West, and always a war of manuver in the colossal Eastern front. Politicaly, diverse and complex. The war changes as it is being fought into about five different epochs. So to all the young naieve naysayers who think SC3, or that this is a dull War, put down your baby bottles, pick up your Lee-Enfields, and wait.....The Hun is coming!
  21. In our game each axis and allies have 3 points in the USA, I got a +14% for the USA from england despite the fact each side has three points in. Do the points no longer cancel each other out?
  22. I am playing VS Axis and putting them at +100% and +2, however the Japanese do not garrison their garrison spots in Mongolia tha makes the Russians come in in 4 turns! Kurt can you make the Japanese leave their garrisons inplace so I can at least have fun for a bit?
  23. Alll Good responses ! Just make the settings Transparent is the Best Idea so Far!
