  1. I think I am missing the core units file. I have the campaign script and that loaded fine. Is the core units file a separate notepad type file or is it in a scenario file?

I am trying to make changes to Task Force 3-69 campaign in Black Sea. I can’t stand having Western troops labeled as green. I bumped up green to reg but adjusted leadership values lower to be more accurate in my mind.

  2. Is there an instruction manual somewhere? I have managed to unpack scenarios from a campaign and edit some settings but can’t figure out how to create a campaign with the new edited scenarios.

ive been in the editor clicked on create campaign but there is no option to upload scenarios that I have seen anyway.

  3. I get what you are saying about Abrams and agree. The only part I disagree with you is..... and I am 99% sure of this; MLRS is NOT a battalion asset. At the minimum it is brigade but most likely a Division or Corps asset. Thus not being included in game. Like I said before maybe the Russians or Ukrainians deploy rocket artillery different so that there may be a case for that. The thing I do not want to see is a weapon system nerfed or buffed included in the game.

And BTW, I was just wondering and not complaining.

I don’t think you came off as complaining at all. I think you’re question is valid. I served in the US Army in both Iraq and Afghanistan, we had access to all sorts of fire support. To include lots of different aircraft, but never was MLRS ever an option. I believe (and could be wrong) it’s roll is more on the operational level than tactical.

As for cluster munitions same as Napalm, it was used as a close support ordnance.

As the game is now, the Russians can barely handle an attack from the United States especially if M1A2 SEPS are available. I ran a test with 30 T-90AM w/APS against a platoon of four M1A2s. Every single Russian T-90 was destroyed and only one Abrams was immobilized. Now that seems a little lop-sided to me.

That’s interesting, I feel that T-90’s handle themselves well in scenarios against the Abrams. But I’ve never run that kinda test. What distances did you do this test from?

Get some q-tip cotton swabs. Check those ears! Wax builds up quicker than you'd think...

This is actually what it was, thank you for the advice. lol

I just DL the steam version and now the sound works!!!!

  7. I have to admit, I’m a huge fan of British kit. The 30mm on the Armored vehicle seems a little weak against infantry in builds though. Unfortunately I only get about 2hrs play time a week due to pesky things such as work and sleep. But when I get a chance I’m going to run a test with similar cannons firing at troops in buildings to see if there is much of a difference. I suspect it’s due to the fact that HE rounds are fired but just a guess. Whereas I believe the 20mm fires HEDP and the CV fires their fancy rounds. Plus it’s a bigger round.

Wondering if anyone else have experienced this or know why?

    Hi fellows,

With respect, I never enjoyed playing the scenarios.

    Thank you,

    Bob

That’s interesting as I’ve never enjoyed QB’s. But I do tend to play solo matches. The scenario design has changed dramatically since the CM1 days. There are so many more options for designers to use. The game has changed a lot since the first series so you can’t really fall back on your memories of that in order to sway your decision on this game. They are totally different games in the way they play.

  9. I think it’d be awesome if this was shipped with three campaigns. First US side circa 79 that uses older US equipment attempting to withstand the red horde. Second a Soviet campaign. Third a US campaign circa 82 that launches a counter attack with the modernized M60’s, Abrams and Brads.

What would you guys like to see?

  10. Is there a difference in the gun that these tanks use or did the M1 in this timeframe use the same 105mm that the M60 did? Is there a difference in the firing mechanism? Such as are the sights better on the M1?

Is the armor on the M1 far superior?

Do the Leo2’s in this timeframe already have the 120mm installed?

I recall back in my old hobby modeling days (last century) there would be these surveys asking what's the most popular military vehicle. Invariable the winner was 'not in kit form yet'. People demanded a Centurion kit - until they got a Centurion kit then interest waned. People wanted a Sturmtiger kit - until they got a Sturmtiger kit then interest waned. There's something enticing about that thing that's just beyond your reach. So there will always be fantasy module and title requests.

    Kill joy!!! Lol

The terrain shift when shifting between Germany and NTC region in QB is dramatic. I can see people playing faux Yom Kippur war engagements on the NTC landscape, its like having two separate games.

As soon as I saw this feature included I immediately thought the same thing!!! I feel like a child I am so excited!!!
