That’s nuts, he logged in the same day as he passed? Was it a heart attack or car wreck? He was a good dude, talked me into buying CM Afghanistan.

Up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right.

It happens to me when I am targeting the bottom floor of a multi story building. As rocketman stated, I believe someone from BFC looked into it but could not figure out how to iron it out.
What specifically were you targeting?

Try looking in MY DOCUMENTS/BATTLEFRONT
Sorry if I’m captain obvious but the newer games are not located the same as the older Battlefront games.
-
It does seem faster. I have noticed when explosions occur the screen losses graphics and shows the design of objects with no graphics for several seconds. I removed my mod folder to make sure that wasn’t the issue.
-
Even with hatches open I agree the human eye should pick up the movement. But as Chuck stated try with hatches closed so the commander is using his thermal.
-
The way to utilize thermals is to have them on their least magnified setting while scanning an unknown area. If the user sees something interesting they can zoom in and identify. Bino’s vs Thermo’s is stone age vs space age. So one should always default thermos at range because they have a massive advantage.
-
Mortars are more accurate on map in a direct line of sight to their target situation. Not sure if the variation of cheese charges are simulated, but to me on map mortar fire seems right.
-
I think it totally depends on the situation. What I do is; if still a great distance from target I’ll put them in a hull down position spotting for a minute. If they do not spot anything I’ll move them to the next recce spot position. I typically only dismount them to get to higher ground ie top of a building. Or if I know the general vicinity of enemy armor that is close. To simplify, keep’em in the Fin at great distances to maximize the spotting potential. Up close they lose the advantage so I dismount.

Regarding the delay in bugfixes, CMSF2 has been out for quite some time, and the TOW LAV still has a non-functional thermal imager which renders it all bus useless.
It appears the 113’s got the thermos meant for the LAV’s. Poor Marines always last in line for equipment upgrades.

To be honest I haven’t played a H2H scenario. We usually pick a map then decide which type of battle we want to fight. I like meeting engagements. The contrast between the two protagonists is, in my opinion, really highlighted in this game. Finesse vs Brut Strength.
-
On a side note, I think you will be happy with CMCW head to head. For me it is my favorite game to play head to head.
-
I think he was hoping work on a module would have started a year ago and is near completion. I too can not wait for a CMCW module.
-
BTR’s in my experience are horrible at spotting. Maybe the worst IFV for spotting in Black Sea.
-
Yes, most of the upgrades have been like that. I do not understand this sorcery either lol.
-
I agree, I wish BFC would spend a little extra to make the weapons look normal.

Think you misread. He's saying when he is commanding M60s he's never had their armour defeat Soviet rounds; so in that case he might as well get the same firepower in a nimbler package.
Ah, I see now. True to that then.

I have yet to bounce anything with m60s so leo1 having the same gun performance (no idea about the fcs) but being smaller and faster should if anything be an improvement.
That’s interesting, in a PBEM I finished recently I was using the Soviets with T-64’s and absolutely ran through my opponents M60’s. One of my tanks sustained four to five hits frontally from 500-800 meters and was not penetrated.
-
Weren’t the East’s uniforms different from the Soviets as well?
-
I think this is a problem with the T-64 model in BFC. I also noticed this bug in Black Sea with my Ukrainian T-64 platoon.

It seems there are two types of players when it comes to C2 and targetting enemy....Let me know if I'm right...
1. Say my sniper on a hill spots or has a tentative spot on an enemy tank so I send my tank platoon over the hill to shoot at it (even if its an empty space to he shooter) even though the tank platoon never registered the spot until it actually saw it. This is what I do.
What kind of Barbarism is this!!!! You outta be ashamed of yourself!!!!
Joking of course. I prefer using option two. Definitely against the AI to me it makes the game a little more enjoyable. For instance just the other day I had a recon unit crest a hill. They spotted several AT guns. I had them run back to the tank platoon on the backside of the hill and relay the info. The tank platoon acquired the spotted icon and crest the hill. They then blasted the locations using area fire and KO’ed the guns.

CMFI I believe have the biggest variety of nations and equipment to play with out of all the games. The maps are beautiful. Only RT and FB can troops ride on tanks. I personally love the Modern titles and CW seems to be a huge hit.
-
Spot infantry is a general statement. Troops moving in the open yes. Troops firing from cover yes. Troops hiding in buildings and other natural cover are hard to spot. Until they move or fire.
-
I love the east front, but one of the reasons RT gets somewhat of a bad rap is because of the timeframe BF choose to use in this game. I think most people would have preferred a 41-43 timeframe for the game, including myself. That being said, RT is a great game, there are a ton of good scenarios and campaigns.

The main thing I’d like to see is for the game to work with my AMD card. That would be a great starting point lol.
