I am listening and they are on my list. But it will be a while before I can do them, I'm afraid.
-
Definitely like it! How did you do it?
-
What do you mean? Never seen this practice? Maybe the darkening is not black enough, but I think it looks more or less like the real thing...
-
Done on k-trout's 'Haircut for Vossie's faces' as a request from Aragorn2002.
I tried to give the appearance of soldiers who camouflaged their faces with burned cork or something similar. Some did better than others, some were over-eager and we even see exotic solutions from the veterans...
Available at CMMODS, filed under 'Tybault'.

Don't know if this plugin is available for PSP, too - it is from NVIDIA. Just google a little bit, but a demo version of PhotoShop might work, too.
-
Aren't those textures in a .DDS file? Then you'll need the .DDS plugin for PhotoShop (if you are using it, that is) - then you can edit the alpha channel, too.
If I'm not mistaken.

Not bad! Since I'm still modding CM it'll be a while before I try one of these...

Didn't knoe that CDV published in the US, too... But I still think it has something to do with the fact that non-German versions of the game are unrestricted and therefore a non-German patch would just change it back since the associated files for storing that information are usually changed/updated.
-
The Anthology version is not censored anymore? Can only be the case for the non-German versions, because everything else IS illegal in Germany and CDV would be in trouble...
But, interesting enough, it's possible to 'unlock' the stuff for the original CDV version of CMAK - you just have to install the English patch. I found it out when accidentally applying the wrong patch at my last reinstall. Doesn't work with CMBB, though.

Oops, sorry. Wasn't intended. Next time I'll think of it...

Well, played it yesterday Germans vs. the AI. 27+ turns, AI beaten very easily, although the German OOB comprises mostly of Greens and Conscripts. Not very much setup options either for the German player (most units are locked); therefore I think it's meant for play as US. Map isn't that big and mostly cosmetical - you essentially fight at two locations: town center and church on the hill. Fight for the bridge only if the AI is indeed fast enough or you play US.
Anyway, BIG problem: description only is provided in Spanish/Portuguese, so the player has no real idea what's going on in this fight if he isn't familiar with the battle.
That's about it for the moment. Anyone else already tried it?
-
Will definitely try it. Anyone around interested in a PBEM?
-
And my tanks seldomly shoot on the move - if at all! Damn, I should play Soviets, too!
-
I knew someone would ask, so here it is:
Admittedly the colors can't be made out very well, but my pattern is as likely as anything else. Alternative would be to switch RAL8012 (Red Primer) with RAL6003 (Olive Green) and RAL6003 with RAL8017 (Chocolate Brown). But it looks nicer this way...
-
Main thing is you like it! But it seesm to me there aren't many people around anymore...
-
Noticed the same with 1.03, but only in the 'Orders Phase'. After I hit the 'Go' button, they reverted back to normal and were animated properly...
-
Displayed is a vehicle somwhere on the Oderfront in 1945, probably in the vicinity of Küstrin.
Different sources state different things as to what unit this pattern belongs to. Helpful hints always welcome!
Based on MikeyD's wonderful Panther mod with a few corrections and additions.
Available at CMMODS as usual.

Good thing is I know all of you aren't taking this seriously, else I had to declare all of you blasphemers...

Well, some tanks had their own nicknames (often women's names), but that wasn't the rule. As far as I can recall, the PzIV was referred to as 'Panzerkampfwagen IV' in official reports, but have no idea what it was called by the troops.
-
Sounds very good! But why do vehicles have to be unbuttoned to receive orders for? Must a vehicle with a radio also be unbuttoned? Sorry if I'm asking a stupid question again, I haven't followed the original thread as closely as I wanted due to time constraints...

Ehy use such obscenities and profane language anyway? We're all civilized, well-educated people here!
Ah well... regarding the opinion of my teachers, that might actually not be the case. But what do I know? I'm just a dumb student!
But if he isn't using abusive language, I like Seanachai's style.

It's guys like you that make this forum well worth a read. We should compile a book with all the threads that made us laugh so we can read it when everything's said and done to remember the good ol' days...

Then I deem myself pretty lucky that I have neither a DualCore nor a GeForce8800 at the moment - and I was planning on upgrading my rig! Sometimes it pays in more than one way to not have the money for such things...

This article is not only biased, it isn't objective. What, for example, have the unit affiliation or his political views of Wittmann to do with his combat record?

Yes, UncleTaggart made that one. my problem is I don't like dusty vehicles - and he put a lot of that stuff on his! Well, we'll see...
