  1. Just a wild guess, but did that happen after you loaded an old savegame (1.03)? The exact same thing just happened to me (on the US side) after I tried to load an old saved campaign battle.
  2. I'm in the airfield campaign mission and I have no idea how snipers are used today. In CMx1 I used them for spotting and suppressing. That should have changed a bit because of the superior spotting abilities of vehicles today. So, how do you use your snipers best in open or urban terrein? Do they lead, stay behind until the situation develops,...? What about engagement ranges? Feel free to enlighten me!
  3. I'm not sure if this is a bug/driver problem or a 'has to be like this' thing. Trenches are almost not displayed until I get very close to them with the camera. If I crank up the '3D Texture Quality' from 'balanced' to 'best', it gets just a little better (the camera doesn't have to be that close). But I still have to go very low and close to see where exactly those trenches are. I tried to play around with the other graphic options without success. Additionally, my strykers are sometimes flickering (bright/dark). It doesn't bother me too much but maybe that info helps to solve the problem. Sorry if this has been discussed already, but I didn't find anything. Here are some screen shots: My specs: 1. BFC download version 2. AMD Athlon 64 single core processor (3200+ 2GHz) 3. nvidia GForce 6800 GT with latest drivers (as of 2007-07-27) 4. 2 GB RAM 5. Windows XP SP2 Cheers
  4. Valid points! If you want to face a unit after moving you have to leave the 'move mode' (right click), then select the last waypoint and then click the face command. I don't know why they changed that behaviour. It's much more cumbersome. I don't think that unloading and pausing during a turn is possible (I'd be happy if someone prove me wrong). Additionally, there should be an option to show all waypoints of all units, not just the one you have selected. Right now it needs a lot of clicking to give your units proper relative positions, like lining them up on a street.
  5. It actually is implemented in CMx1. The ammo counter of an infantry unit never reaches 'zero', only 'low'. They pick up ammo from wounded and dead people, but it's not graphically represented. Cheers
  6. A native linux version would be awesome. Don't think it's going to happen, though. We linux people are just too few for the effort, I guess...
  7. I just played the demo for a short while and i yet have to un-twist my brain! Isn't there an option to invert the y- axis of the mouse while controlling the camera? I'm one of those flight sim guys who PULL if they want to look up. Since this game is from the developers who made 'Sturmovik' I almost can't believe that they forgot about that. ps: I know that one can invert the mouse wheel, but that's not what I meant. Regards sxm
  8. It would be a bit strange to see some Abrams, Bradlays and US infantry in the Yugoslavian civil war, wouldn't it?
