  1. I believe the satellite troops were given some panzerfausts to beef them up. They are not available to be selected in the options, probably to prevent making Romanian and hungarian infantry more effective. If you dont edit romanian infantry platoons, they will occasionally have a panzerfaust 30. Hungarian troops dont but their tank hunting teams may also have a panzerfaust if you dont edit them.
  2. Hey there; sending package shortly. Sorry for delay, wife had baby and we were at the hospital for a week because they screwed up the epidural.
  3. Hey there, sorry, my e mail notification was off. Sending the package shortly:)
  4. looking for an experienced player (and I really mean experienced) to beta test a mini campaign I put together called "SturmKommandoGruppe Erickson". Basically, the player controls about a company of infantry with some support units. He fights a battle, and if he completes the mission, he sends me the saved end map and I recreate his remaining forces to put into the second mission, and so on. The person should be able to do the battles quickly.
  5. There is the old "Death ride of the 424th" scenario that you would probably like.
  6. I remember reading an account somewhere of A german infantryman. A mass of Russian cavalry was riding over their positions. There were but a handful of German tanks spread out, with a few grenadiers huddled close to each of them, with this sea of cavalry flowing all around them. The sight left him awestruck as he hadnt seen something like that in a long time. I dont know if this was an accidental engagement or planned. Attacking fixed positions with cavalry would be obviously suicidal, but the Russians made extensive use of cavalry for mobile operations, and were of course not shy about taking casualties.
  7. I would assume force morale would come into play, culmulating in an auto surrender.
  8. Well, facts are you have to play both sides differently. Russian forces at that time were not as well lead or as well trained and so command delays are longer; the manual has details on this. The MG42 is a formidible weapon. At a minimum of 1200 rounds per minute, it can cut through a halftrack or scout car, and so the crew is wise to get the heck out of there. With Russian forces, quantity has a quality of its own, and can be put to good use.
  9. Rolled it back with a pre driver install restore point; problem gone.
  10. Thanks for the response. There was no problem before, I just figured the new drivers would help. I think I'll just roll back the drivers for now and see.
  11. I upgraded my catalyst driver for my ATI radeon 9000 to the 5.9 version. I seem to now be having an issue. A small back section has appeared on the screen in the bottom right corner above the movie buttons. I have tried removing the BB prefs and letting the game reinitialize, and have also tried tweaking various settings and checked directx but to no avail. I would rather not uninstall the newer driver so if anyone has seen this or has a suggestion I would be happy to listen. Thankyou.
  12. I think some people are mistaking FOW with difficulty to knock out. It's hard to tell what effects fire has done to a bunker, especially with FOW set to extreme. The bunker is a dug-in position fortifed with dirt and logs, making it hard to see what your shots are doing. You may have knocked the bunker out after the first shot, but it takes the crew a while to get out, making you think it is difficult to knock out.
  13. There will definately be strategy changes needed from many players. Those that already play campaigns understand the differences and are used to this type of conflict. Most regular cm "victories" come at such a cost that they are really pyrrhic victories. The balance issue is also an interesting one. Most are used to playing games that are designed to be balanced. With cmc, most battles will be unbalanced; the question in many cases being how well a player can keep his assailed units from being annihilated.
  14. I get the feeling people are going to be putting together a lot of 2 x 2 maps in anticipation of Combat Missions Campaigns Release. Perhaps there could be a place designated for any maps made so they are all together. The new depot would be ideal when it is up.
  15. We updated our old site and that feature hasnt been added yet, but soon:).
  16. We have a small number of scenarios in our public downloads section for consumption. Enjoy http://www.kampfgruppe.us/index.php?page=downloads
  17. The bug affects all multi option planes. In essence, any plane that has an "or" in its options will be affected. If a plane bombs and then the game is saved, there is a high chance it will reload its bombs and attack again. Only planes with a set wepaons load out are not affected. It is a shame as it makes many intresting aircraft unavailable.
  18. Ive noticed that sometimes if there is a juicy enough target, a plane selected as part of the initial force selection wont bother with a fly over. Cost me a column of trucks during scenario testing.
  19. The infantry special weapons loadout I'm not sure of. Their ammuntion level, however, will stay the same if the next battle ammo level is set lower than they have. If the ammo level is set higher, their ammo increases. A few quick experiments should answer your questions for sure.
